[Resolved] Thinking Music? post what you listen to...

i've seen threads before about what people listen to when they design...

what i'm looking for here is to compile a list for my winamp which has some good songs for thinking/designing...

what i'm thinking is more of slow songs and such (maybe classical, etc.)

for example, when i want to think i like to listen to the theme from "the legend of bagger vance"

Tortoise - this band produces some of the best thinking music, and it is great to design to. try the album 'TNT' first.

It all depends on my mood.

If I'm feeling agro I listen to things like:
Metallica
Nirvana
Limp Bizkit
Black Sabbath
Nine Inch Nails
Smashing Pumpkins

If I'm feeling more relaxed it's everything from Bob Marley to Carl Orff.

well right now i got a lil Mason Williams Classical Gas, Pink Floyd, and Portishead nice and smooth to start the day..but when i really get goin its Mudvayne, Linken Park, Coal Chamber, Gorillaz (look for dracula)

well it all depents on my mood but most of the time its:
Future Sound off Londen(FSOL), Death in Vegas, Tricky and a lot more
i really like a mix tape, md, cd etc. i like mixing myself its great to listen a whole journey its have a beginning and a end with a whole story inside, i really like acid techno and ambient mixes and especially L.S.G in to deep that`s the best thing i ever heard.

Though if I really need to get bubbley and start something, well, it's hard to beat The Smiths (not a recommendation though, enough slightly crazed web designers as it is ... and the tea lady might beat you up :-)

When I'm working I like to listen to Dance / Trance music.

It keeps me motivated till stupid hours of the morning / night.

In particular I like the Gatecrasher Series of Albums.

i'm listening to s club 7, nerf herder, nelly furtado, red hot chili peppers, sportfreunde stiller, tara maclean, they might be giants, wizo, no doubt, a*teens, green day, blink 182 and atc when i'm workin on my website, and from time to time i put some songs from the corrs into my playlist...

Squink, I got the Spooks joint already :) it is definitely good stuff! :)

Esthero rocks too, she did that song with Goodie MOb that I loved, and the rest of her stuff has a really nice flow to it.

The best music to design to I think is Les Rythmes Digitales, Radiohead, or Belle and Sebastian. Pretty much mellow stuff does it for me. Sometimes I even mix it up with some Brit-pop, but stuff like Dead Inside, Emperor, or any kinda energetic metal just doesn't work.
