geez - i bet they payed through the nose to get the rights to use that "get the party started" loop :P
http://stats.directnic.com/tracker.p...4&sh=768&cd=16 is leaving broken images...
audio controls need to standout more...
dont know that the colour scheme suits what the site is about
shutter should close more quickly
Though there are some more aspects of the design I dont like, You seem to be getting a grip on the use of flash, and thats great!!!
Thats where most people start, and more sophisticated designs will follow...You should have seen the crap I used to make! I woulda been in absolute awe of this stuff, wishing I coulda done that...
Definitely a good second effort, and I look forward to seeing what u can do when u learn some more actionscript...
Really recommend you do, as it will help you cope with scalability as ur sites grow...
what if u want more than 27 images (or less?) and dont wanna edit ur fla? actionscript is what ur gonna need
I think its a great site, and is probably worth around $1000 AUS. Although it could have been a little more professional, there are quite a few graphics with bad resolution and the interface is... average!
if you are just starting out i would say that is good, i dont agree with some of the text and the color scheme, but it is a very good start and you should have probably gotten more than 250 dollars...my first flash site was not as good as that and I got $700....charge more for your efforts, as far as the client is concerned, it took you hours and hours to create - catch my drift?
Good Luck man!
the close button of the chromeless window is unrecognizable. change in in a pic editor to a different colour ( dont forget to change the hover as well!)
charge more
by the way how do you get the window to pop up like that? Basically how do you get your flash into a window like that?
I found an dreamweaver extension that does the chrome window, not sure i like it either.Quote:

Hello,
first off, your site is worth more than 250.00...
You should really charge more for your work. Although every kid that can use a computer can get a copy of flash(one way or another), there are few of us that have the knowledge or artistic talent to use it correctly. Whats happening in the world of flash is a little sad, and its what is hppening to the web in general. So many people are getting into flash/webdesign that the cost of our work is falling everyday due to the fact that people are under selling the product they create, and setting a standard that will not sustain the average designers lifestyle.
Im not saying this is you, just in general.
Heres what I saw:
Liked the windowed look, but did you check for cross browser compatability?
Although I dont care for green, the header area in green looks ok. Dont care for the green text in the main sections though.
Nice shutter effect, but runs a little slow due to the amount of tweening that is going on, might want to look at the streaming graph in flash and see where your problems lie.
Is that a copywritten sound clip you are using? Sounds like it. Dont think you would ever have a problem with a personal site, but a retail site may run into problems with copyright infringement.
Like the way the images enlarge and float.
Well hope it helps....
check out http://www.microbians.com under "chromeless window"....read the explanation and play with it ;)Quote:

Jeeze my work is 10 times better than this, and I don't get $250 for it.
it all looks good exept i dont think those colors are right for it AT ALL!
it should be alot lighter in my opinion.
other then that, it looks great.
Man that helps alot, Im still making some original sound loops, those are temp, and Im trying to cut some alpha color out of it to improve the speed, its the hard part getting it all to load and run fast and look good, its a battle.Quote:
