I'm just jelous of you're experiences (i guess)
If they're not too spooky, I wish I was there :p
I do beleive that people and events leave energy, positive and negative.
My father is in the air force and as kids we lived on various air bases throughout the world.
One was a decommissioned war time bomber base called RAF Syreston on the Fosseway in Nottinghamshire, UK.
They used to fly Lancaster bombers out of there during world war II.
I was about 8 and a group of us went camping on the old airbase. during the night we thought it would be fun to go into some of the old buildings and hangers. We went in one and in the gloom saw a lancaster bomber , lit up with people woorking on it. suddenly someone shouted over at us so we ran like hell - not wanting to get told off for being where we weren't supposed to be.
In the morning we decided to take another look -the worst that can happen in daylight is that some one can take you haome and tell yyour parents. The strange thing is that the hanger we had been in the previous night was full of caravans- i was used to store them. No Lancaster bomber and no room for one anyway.
can't explain it, probably never will but I thoght I'd bore you with it anyway ;)
Back in old time, people living in the north pole thought that the 'northern lights', that are sometimes visible in the night skies of northern regions (Aurora Borealis), are caused by ghost and lost soul; however, it's actually caused by the ejection of charged particles into the magnetic field of the earth.
hey jack!
Id love to but it's a bit personal and still confusing even for me as Im not religious or even a spiritual person. Last time i went to church was when i was 16 for my parents wedding, other than that I dont intend to go again unless i have to attend a friends wedding ceremony or a funeral i guess...I declared myself an atheist many years ago and still stand by itQuote:

This episode involved a family member that I love dearly (my grandfather who died during the war and whom I never got to meet cos he died before i was born) and its still a subject Im not keen talking about. He was killed and they never found his body. My family is still looking for it and is a member of a couple of organisations that are dedicated in tracing relatives that were executed or killed back then which i find too much but my dad wont give up to this date.
a
aww... nice story
so...
Have your granpa ever haunted you?
shouldn't you share it with us?
:D
I can't explaint his one:
If you look back in the thread you will see one of my stories. Another thing that I remember about being a child and living with my mom who practiced wika was that I would wake up at night and remember very well a dream that I had just had but that made no sense. Then later I would "relive" the dream, yet in reality. My mind would take me back the night when I had had the dream and I would see exactly what it was that I had dreamed. Ex. Once I remember dreaming about being at a theme park and seeing people that I had never seen before come in and drop a back pack with a baby bottle roll out. I don't remember how long it was before I actually "relived" the dream but it was the strangest thing when the events of my dream came true. Especially with people that I had never seen before. This is only one example of many that I have had. Has any one else ever experianced this? Is it mere coincidence or soemthing more. since the time that I have moved out of my house the dreams happen next to none. What do you all think?>
then I can understand the hasitation...Quote:

I didn't tought it would be this kind of story, but I still am impressed by it.
I do support people who believe in it, and I admire them for their perseverance and believe, but I find it like you a little too much...
thnx for sharing it ;)
well let me put this discussion to rest... i seen ghost...
i was only 10 yrs old... if it was only me who saw that damn thing i wouldn't tell you now... but there were 6 others who saw a white figure up dangling on a tree branch... the hair at the back of the neck just rose up... we ran inside to tell the adults and around 30 seconds later it was gone...
Probably the best example of demonic power in the lives of people would be my a story my grandpa told me.
My Grandpa was a southern baptist preacher in Sandford, FL. He had been counseling with this troubled young man who was having all kinds of problmes. One day, he was sitting in his office when the young man came in with a gun. The guy leveled the gun at him and my grandpa said, "In the name of Jesus Christ drop that gun!".
The gun suddenly fell to the floor and his hand fell limp. He later told my grandpa that he had not wanted to drop the gun but strangely he had.
This is about the best most trustworthy example of demonic power and the authority that we through Christ can have over them.
Nice to see you guys again..
Last night, I had a few people over, and my drunk friend Sarah decided she would try the bloody mary trick. We urged her not to, but she did anyway. That reminded me of when about 6 years ago, I went to this party where a group sat in a circle in the dark and chanted "Bloody Mary"..half way through..they all bolted out and everybody that participated in that chant stop partying and stayed home pretty much every weekend. I asked somebody who was in that group what they saw, and he explained it was an old woman face in the reflection of the closet door.

I've got a real ghost story. I was in a church over in Paris which was built into the rock (multiple stories) It was really weird, only this one room, part of the crypt (very small) was just wrong feeling. It wasn't cold but the moment you walked into it the room made you physically ill, like you wanted to throw up. But after you left that room it was just fine again.
I know it wasn't just me, because my friends and I also visited the Catacombs (http://www.ibiblio.org/louvre/paris/cata/ ) which is full of santified ground as well and there wasn't anything like the sickness of the church room. In fact, the catacombs were very peacefull, and there are probably millions of people buried there. The whole room thing was really creepy.
