Well Chanderpaul made the runs with 4 straight boundaries!
new zealand captain decided to play that bowler and he paid for it in the end!
no bad umpiring and wrong decisions in that match!!!!

well Fleming wanted to bowl Hitchcock, who DID have one last over to bowl
but the UMPIRES had counted wrong and he wasn't allowed to bowl his last over, then Fleming had to pick Tuffey, even though he was out of form, and hadn't even warmed up...
so not really a nice situation!

Oh, as for the game NZ won, well the old Duckworth-Lewis method USUALLY favours the team batting second, and in fact that was the comment being made at the beginning of WIs innings... but they didn't quite get there did they.
WI is a team coming along very well, but I don't see them getting up to beat the big guns... (although anything is possible)
Of course I might be biased but NZ is capable of doing it (also capable of crashing and burning, they are a might unpredictable)
before pakistan (where we had 9 of our starting line up injured!) they were going Very well this year, beating UK,AUS,SA and BANG in one dayers, and coming within 20 runs of making AUS follow on for the first time since the eighties (86?)...
tho' as I said, I may be biased

Two teams of 11 play against each other taking it in turns to either Bat or Field. When a team bats, tow players at a time are allowed on the pitch, one of these players attempt to protect the Wicket (three upright peices of wood, topped with the bails that cross the three peices) against one of the opposing team's fielders (a bowler) who throws the ball toward one of the wicket. it has been a long time since I have seen cricket. they dont show cricket matched here in canada. but back home in india, we all used to see it...i remember the last world cup. the finals were really tense. it was pakistan vs. the aussies. the aussies won ofcourse. and many pakis' had made bets that they would dye their hair green if paki lost and stuff like that...
cricket has been my favourite sport and will be my favourite sport.
and hey, the world cup is coming up next year (maybe canada will show that although there are hardly any cricket fans here)

the game is over and one of the teams wins.
