I made it ^^ first fully flash site. Any suggestions? be nice =_+. Besides get rid of the typos lol

I always enjoy seeing people's first flash sites. sometimes it's really refreshing and other times it's rather sad. I have to say that for your first flash site this is a pretty good effort. i commend you on taking the plunge and making that first all-flash site. it's exciting isn't it?

that said, i have the following comments:

1. i understand the use of the cross as a symbol, and i was pleasantly surprised to see it first thing, but the zooming in and sliding it around to get to different sections simply takes too long.

2. the use of the back button link as an integral part of the navigation scheme is a little cumbersome. It gets frustrating to have to go back to the beginning every time you want to check out a different content area. I know i got a little frustrated with it.

3. as for the look of the site, i have to say that everything seems a little dim. i don't get a sense of heierarchy in the layout of the content and graphics. the text is hard to read against the transluscent box, and the image of the building is so light that i can't really tell what it looks like. now i know that the church members already know what it looks like, but for guests that may be looking at the site to get a feel for the church before they visit might find that a little strange.

now, a lot of this may be moot depending on the intended audience. people like myself and other designers will look at this site from a completely different perspective and eye than the church members will. please take my comments as they are intended...as constructive comments and ideas for improvement.

I thought the site was very nice, and especially impressive as a first Flash site. The first feedback response was comprehensive, and all that I would add is a very small note that on the News section, when you do a mouseover, the white text mouseover disappears on the white background. On the color backgrounds of other sections, it works fine. Well done.

I was wondering wether anyone would comment about the back button on the news. I guess I'll just make a special back symbol for news.

I guess I could try to... have the sliding go faster.
I used the back buttons every time because, well, it was easier lol. I'll work on it though :o
