Wow I like that. I would use a different font but its still good. Except i wouldn't know where to go with the design
Pretty cool.
I wouldn't make it as detailed, though.
Maybe just an outline of something like that.
I agree with the outline or something abstract. And yes the font needs to be different (times is used here). But this is a starting point to get your mind going. It always helps to look at something if you're stumped. You may scrap the whole thing, but at least you know what you do and do not want in your logo. And now you can see how you want to use your logo as wellWhat does your company exactly specialize in?Quote:

It has your creative (or right) side of your brain working even more now.
You probably already know this, but I was taught to look at the best designs and get ideas (not stealing the work, but get ideas)and eventually your mind will start to think professional. Eventually, you will have your own ideas rolling off your brain. Hope we are helping.:mrpimp:
Its not really a "company" yet. I hope it is one day but for now its just a portfolio showcases webdesign, motion graphics ect. Im still stumped on how I would design the site around that. I like it alot. And yes I usually get insparation from other sites and then it sparks my own creativity. Thanks alot for all your help.
Do you have a web address for your work? I'd like to see some of it.:mrpimp:
If you're good at drawing, just make a black+white abstraction of it.
it'd look really effective.
Back to my logo. Here's the final 3.
Everyone seemed to agree with what I said in my last post. The last 2 and the version using the techier looking font. Most people like 1 the best
http://www.grunomedia.com/beta/grunotech_finals.gif
I'm split between the 2.
I like the ball being inside the BIG ring that is part of the rule, but I like the planet looking ball better. I tried combining the 2 and it looked horrible, so instead I used the one with ball and put a BIG version of the planet next to the logo.
I think the palnet can even be a logo by itself, like the Nike swoosh, but does it look too much like a symbol for a cell phone carrier, ISP, etc?
Can I be anymore anal?
lol......Design is anal. So, you're normal.
I like the planet thing. If you downsized it more and possibly placed it in the middle as an "o", keeping the rings around it. It looks off balanced as it is, real "heavy" on the right side.
Maybe even the planet faded into the back ground in the center.
If you didn't want it in the center, you need to find a way to balance it with the text. But, it is looking good! :mrpimp:
That's exactly what I though right after I hopped into be, but was too tired and lazy to edit my post. This is a very center balanced logo, and the big planet throws it off.
moving it below the text looked crappy.
I like you're ideas, maybe using it as the O or as a watermark under the logo with the plain orb.
Or maybe just taking those top 2 and doing a coin toss already!
Hey, a coin toss is sometimes the best way to get an end project. Some might disagree, but I think that one can "over do" a logo. It's like a painting, you are never really "finished" with it.
As soon as you pick the design that you like the most, the hard part comes. The CLIENT!! If you have done an excellent job then it might, and I stress the word "might", not be too bad. The hard part is convincing them that thier ideas suck, and yours are better. There is a suave way of doing it, but very tricky. :mrpimp:
It is def. looking like a coin toss here! But here's 2 more!

The tint looks kind of cool as an element for a business card, letterhead, etc., but I don't really like it as part of the logo. Makes it too big I think. I kind of like the way the logo is just one line.
I kind of like the last one though, so does anyone know where I can find a 3 sided coin!
I agree with the fade, looks too jumbled for the logo. I like the last one best so far. Could you make the sphere an "o" ? Keep the rings. just to see what it looks like. Looks great! :mrpimp:
Here they are. The rings around the O STINK, but I posted them anyway for everyone to see. The one with just the O and the rings isn't bad, but 1, 2 and the last one are still my favorites.

I personally think the first one is the best:cool:
I kinda like the last one as well but not as much as the first one.
L8terz
I agree with Blue. Get your coin out. 1st or last. Let the coin decide :D
They look great. Has the client seen any of the drafts? :mrpimp:
