LOL :)
Putch you are quite close, in the movement movie however you need to have 2 variables, one for the name of the section you have chosen, and another for the one you are discarding, you just switch em round. Your animation if great tho :)
You also then need a white room, a DV cam, some cards, a black marker and 4 other idiots mucking about whilst you try to get it filmed.
Rynoe, the reason we got "a bunch of white guys" to host cuz if you look in the personnel section that's us !, Rob is south american anyway, (bolivia i think).
As for Women, we don't purposly not have any, its just the way things are at the mo, we do have one starting next week tho !!
****ing nice, Love the idea, works really well

www.feneo.com
very nice effect, just think the site could have been executed better. Layout is ot that appealing
How else should i lay it out then dude?
Just bear in mind that it is laid out with the end user in mind, not other designers, so ease of use and speed that information gets to the screen is a lot more important than flashy effects and complex transitions. We do get quite a few clients who are engineering firms or manufacturing companies so it has to be accessable by "non web savvy dudes"
Suggestions always welcome
Cheers

Nice site. I especially like the posterboard button descriptions. Reminds me of INXS ! Anyway everything looked great. I liked your use of video.
I like it too. But let me get this straight. Are you denying that you've seen these ideas before in any of the Hilman Curtis walk throughs? There are some incredible similarities in more than one area, especially the 'board swap' technique.
I think it's fine that people are influenced by other designers but they should at least have the decency to acknowledge where the concepts came from.
Apart from that gripe, I think your site is great. Well done :)
Indeed I am denying it dude, i'd never seen it before.
As I said earlier i got the inspiration from the same place that Hilman Curtis got it, a video by Bob Dylan called "Subterranean Homesick Blues" and later the idea was used for a commercial by a Tape company in the UK called "Maxell"
Some of the older dudes on here will no doubt remember it :)
I remember it! And...if that was the inspiration here, then so be it...perhaps Hillman Curtis should be accused of plagiarism by the director of that film from the 60s!Quote:

Great site! I hung out for a long time, very entertaining. If I was to dig for something to scratch my critical itch, I would say the descriptions of your talent clients are a little over the top. The web is jammed with "best greatest thing out there", so words like that have no meaning, and imply a bit o' baloney. i.e., I'm a drummer, and I know that Karl is not the most talented writer/drummer out there, and I'm sure the folks you sell him to know that too. If you said something that implied "this kid's repertoire rivals those two decades older than he", I would have thought he's one to watch. Nice site you built for him too, maybe a vid of some of his better playing would help, esp. if live with luminaries in the bg.
My $.02.:)
hahah Cherry People!!! that section is off the hook!!
Great design.
Definatly one of the best in Birmingham.
others are:

just if anybody is interested
Loafboy...
How can I do the fullscreen popup window that you have off your Fun Page??
I would like to know how to do that.
Thanks
They are just chromeless windows dude, you can get the javascript anywhere.
To be honest they are a bit fiddly and glitchy and in hindsight i wouldnt have used em, however it was last year (when they were "all the rage") when i designed it.
is that you breakdancing then?
Do you know of many other designers in Birmingham? It would be good to organise some creative type nights like they do in London and Manchester.
We need to put Birmingham back on the creative map.
It is indeed m8 2 weeks of bruises i suffered!!
I agree that a get2gether would be an excellent idea, as for other design companies in brum, the only ones we have had contact with are Webxpress and Xlibris. I once went to a gallary opening and Clusta were there, but never got the chance to speak to em.
Do you know any others ?
well my 2 pence worth:
i dont like loops like the one you have used. i think they are a bit old hat now and tend to be used by everyone and then some.
i like the idea with the cards. its a very old idea like you say, its been used by bob dylan, maxwell, sarah *something* (artist) the advert about 'on tuesdays my name is tracey' etc... remember that one? prudential i think? might be wrong, then there is desmond decker... my ears are alight? am i correct on the artist? plus there was the sunflower spread... mmmm...mmmmm.... vitalite remember? lol
'wake up in the morning, wanting my breakfast'
sorry im wandering, but you get my point.
notice the connection. all have been tv ad's.
so why not use it on the net?
fair enough its not the most origional idea, but like i said to deepcode in a different thread, who cares?
as long as you add your own mix to the flavour (which you have clearly dont) i say top job folks :)
i like the site, just that bg loop i dont like.
p.s. i love the movement of the drum n bass head ;).
and whos the ginger bloke surfing flashkit? lol
GINGER !!!!!
Ya cheeky get ! - Its me and its Blonde !!
The navigator bar itīs just unique! I would dare to say that I never seen something like that before! Brilliant! :cow:
