He used to work for Virl which is where this type of look originated.
2A just stole their style and added a few stock images.
Aversion may have finally gotten the boot for closing some threads for no reason at all and not closing some 10+ page threads in which he and his 2A buddies just keep on yapping about things which have nothing to do with cool sites.
They should add a$$ kissing forum for that and keep this one for its intended purpose.

show me a thread I've closed without reason? I close threads when people start posting crap, usually about other members, I leave open threads which are good natured and people are happy posting in. Almost every single thread I close I get complaints about first.
As long as a thread is started in good faith in the forum and remains civilised it stays open, if people start posting crap like this I close it. Simple as that.
If you have a problem with the way i moderate, write to the webmaster, if you have a problem with the content of this forum, write to the webmaster. This isn't a democracy, I moderate the way i see fit, that's why I was given this position. If people complain about a thread i assess it and close it if I agree. Did you complain about this thread? No, you just thought you would whine about it.
I'm sorry if I'm friendly to other members that post here, I'm sorry if some of those members are from 2advanced or FI or theory7... maybe I should just be rude to them in the future, would that make you happy? YEah that's right man, those are the only guys I'm friendly to here. Take a look at threads, I'm friendly to anyone that doesn't post whiney BS, look at the taig thread, I was friendly with lady bring who everyone knows I've had differences with before. Maybe you would be happy if I discouraged well known designers from posting here? Why should anyone gain valuable insight into the business from guys like tony and david? What was I thinking!
I've done more than anyone to keep this forum on topic and a good place to post. Do you see anyone else here doing anything, moving threads, closing crap? I was away from this place for two days, when I came back I had to move several threads and delete four that were nothing to do with this forum, is that the wat you would prefer it? You think you can do a better job why don't you volunteer yourself to the admin, I'm sure they'll be so impressed by your posts and maturity.
