for some reason it took me to a screen saying i didn't have flash 6 when i was using netscape, i loaded it up in explorer and i thought it looked really nice, i really like your page transitions and the overall feel of the site i thought is very fresh and new.
keep up the great work
thanks!
i just used the code and files provided by macromedia in regards to making sure users had v6 of flash.
I tried to run the site and it just kept forcing me to download the flash 6 player which i am positive that i already have.
nice site. very nice.
I was looking through your contact lists and can see how you progressed.
I don't see any mis-spellings.
Only problem I get is when the arrows come up to make the transition. They slow down alot. I think it might be my comp, seeing at this moment I have alot of processes.
Also the spinning circles. At the top, I like that effect. Why not have one down in the part under the nav. The "Big Blue" area I'll call it. Maybe a smaller version of it. Maybe a small loading bar or Percent to know how much is left, kidda on a limb if I have to wait on it.
Other then that, me likey! keep up the great work!
anokiernan - maybe it was a newer version of flash 6 or you needed to restart. im really not sure. i just used the code that macromedia provides on their website for that purpose. sorry.
squish -
"I was looking through your contact lists and can see how you progressed. " - do you mean through the porftolio from old to new? good to know that my work is getting prgressively better though...(i assume you meant better, haha.)
"Only problem I get is when the arrows come up to make the transition. They slow down alot. I think it might be my comp, seeing at this moment I have alot of processes." - yeah, unfortunately this happens on most computers. its basically just because the arrows are such large objects at the end of the animation that they lag a bit. i wasnt able to fix it at all so i asked some non-designers if it lagged for them and they didnt even notice it so i hope that most non-designers won't. i really like that effect so i decided it was worth the bit of lag it causes.
and the animation with the circles. i cant really do that because it takes up alot of video power to run that animation. with 2 i think it would end up being kinda jumpy
thanks a bunch for the feedback everyone. i appreciate all the comments!
you should really do something about that code, because I have flash 6 as well and it wont let me in. Try to find a code where it recognizes older builds of the flash 6 player.

i would love to!

I may have jsut figured out how to modify it. Mind testing it for me?
still not working for me
i think its taken care of now.
Yep, and wow.. that site is HOT!
The only thing I would have done is have it more horizontal than vertical so everything would be seen at once. It is still really clean and visually apealing. Very nice

What font is that? is it just arial?
thanks a bunch :o)
yeah, its just arial, size 10 kerning .3
the kerning makes a big difference with making the small fonts look better i think.
I saw your site, looks nice. If you have contract work available, I'm always interested, and located in Milwaukee, WI or Muncie, IN depending on the time of year.
thanks again for the help patrick!
I love you and great site :) you little variable biznatch, keep up the great work and I'm glad we have become partners :)
It just makes me so happy to see a designer using a fresh colour scheme that works so well - that alone grabbed me. I am so sick of seeing the old dark blue/greyscale site. This is just brilliant.
I love this site - everything about it just works so well - the layout might not break conventions or boundaries - but the colours and vibe alone had me hooked.
Well done - this company I forsee as going far. Great stuff!
ALthough it would be nice for the recent projects feature on the front page have a buttonto launch the projects rahter than searching out the site on your client list...:)
Error on line 7 object expected.
The colours are beautiful. They work like a charm. And it all looks very pro.
thanks for the compliments paintmeapixel! :D

I think you're right; going to change that. Thanks for the advice.
Muncie, eh? I live in Valparaiso, Indiana. My firm is always looking for good designers. I will keep your email for the future. I am offering some really cheap prices right now though, to build up the clients and examples page. I am not sure how high your rates are, but I wouldn't be able to offer you a whole lot of money for our current projects.Quote:
