Back to the bear and the hippo...the hippo by a landslide. Given the bear's fighting style, standing on the hind legs and waiting to swipe, I'd would think the hippo would simply charge at him, using 8 times the bear's weight to knock it over, at which point it could easily trample the bear, or disable it with those 8 inch teeth in the mid-section. No contest really.

Intellect and agility vs. shear power. With some precision and dodging ability, I think it would be a decent fight. No average man though, we're talking highly trained ninja here most likely.
it would depend where they were, if it were an arena, i thin kthe guy would be screwed, but if it were like in the forest, the guy could set a trap for he hippo like lure it under a cliff where he could shove a boulder onto its head, or jump out of a tree and slit its throat (even still it would be incredible risky) or he could use the knife to dig a pit filed with pointy sticks pointing up and then cover it with branches and have the hippo chase him over it

Man vs. Hippo - I think the man'd be lucky to win. He'd have to be freakin' Tarzan to have any chance whatsoever.
Hippo vs. Shark - If you're talking Great White here (not the band), then the shark every time. Especially considering the stealth approach, coming up from underneath, generally employed by the shark.
Shark vs. Croc - I'd have to go with shark again here. Even if we're talking a salty croc (over 3 meters in length), they're just not that agile, and the shark is a lean, mean, killing machine. Though, that said, the croc does have a measured bite of over three tons per square inch, so if it did manage to get hold of the shark, you could pretty much say that was game over. Unlikely though, that it'd get the chance.

I don't know where you get the idea a hippo is slow it can reach 50/60 kph...
and it's skin is so thick and well protected that nothing can penetrate it....

You people are crazy! Hippo's have the ability to fend off crocs for god's sake! CROCODILES!! They bite them in half if they try to sneak up on them! And as someone said earlier, they have very thick hides. The only way Grizzlies know how to take other animals down is to bite them or knock them down. Their jaws are too small to deliver a lethal bite to a hippo (not to mention being chopped in half in the process). And they weigh MUCH too little to knock em down. Its hippo hands down. ;) And someone mentioned that they didnt have sharp death? Stop watching cartooons buddy, hippos aren't the round, friendly creatures you see on TV. If their teeth are sharp enough to cut through a croc, they're surely sharp enough to cut through mammal hide.
When it comes to man vs Hippo, its a different case. We have something very important, a brain! We could just like climb a tree really high, then jump on the hippo's head and poke his eyes out before he can throw us off (using ur hands or a stick maybe). Then when he's blinded we shoot him! Jkz ;)... We could just let him starve. I think that would work

I don't see the advantage of actually jumping onto an animal that wants to kill you just to impair it's vision.
