Hi again... just posting the latest version of my site. Please take a look and be sure to tell me what you think. What are my strong and weak points? How about the colors? Ya know the drill...

I like it. A good start. That background music is very nice. I have been on a lot of sites and only a few (3 that I can remember) have had good background music that doesn't detract from the site. Yours would be in that category. Layout looks good. Like the sound effect and tv "snow" on the content area. Only thing I didn't care for was the orange "three lefts logo" under the content area. For some reason I didn't think it fit in with the rest of the style of the site.

That blue on black doesn't work, gives that floating effect. The orange doesn't work either. The weight of the lines seems a little too thick, see what a size down looks like. A circle for stop, looks more like record, and i clicked play thinking it would toggle to pause or something. The font is a little blurry in the text box. And it seems to need the assistance of a grid, see if lining things up will add to it, things seem to be floating around, no flow. I'm not a big fan of gradients that are large in scale, just one of those things that bother me. Nice start though.
Thanks for the good feedback... most people just say something like "good work" or "nice" and that's it.:confused: I LOVE constructive critisizm. :D Anyways, I've been hearing from a few people that they aren't too keen on the "logo" part... the colors and such. So I'm gonna rework it. Also, I will soon have it on a real host so it should work better. One thing that concerns me is I'm not sure if the loading time is too long. I know I don't have a preloader in yet, but on 56k it feels a little too big. I might have to try to lower the music quality or something (any suggestions on a good way to do that?). Anyways, let me know if it takes too long for the 56k users like me. :cool:

I don't understand how three lefts make a right...
Hehe... ok think of it like this. You are facing NORTH, to the RIGHT of you is EAST (the direction you want to go). But instead you turn LEFT, you are now facing WEST. You turn LEFT again, now you are facing SOUTH. You turn LEFT a THIRD time... you are facing EAST.
Hence, THREE LEFTS = RIGHT.
It's a twist on the old saying "two wrongs don't make a right... "
A popular joking response to that is, "but three lefts do."

How big is your sound file? Is it a loop? i don't use anything over 30 sec when i consider dial-up. Check out my mixer in my portfolio, see how fast those dial-up sounds load. Well here's a direct link...

I took a lot of time trying to get the best quality while cutting the file size, but compared to the broadband sounds, which are twice as big, you definitely hear the difference.
Not too bad, but I don't feel like you are projecting a particularly professional image to would be clients.

I wanted to like it, but I found it too big and clunky. Nav was all blurry. Didnt like the orange logo

nice name btw..... too bad simple minded people cant grasp that, but the design looks good, try speeding it up, and giving it a lil more jaz.... best of luck i will be sure to check it out in a few weeks :)
