let me get out my violin..
The forum was kindergarden six months ago and appears to have deteriorated into nothingness in short order. I listened to dave and took a long hike. Did come back once a few months ago but seeing two blue muppets made me freak out and fly away quickly. Yea, the mods are cool enough to talk with but need not be paid. They love posting too much. Why they would do it for free. Oh, yea they do do it for free don't they? My two cents the forum was doomed long ago.
SwishMax Free Copies Withdrawn?
I am not sure if the drawing is a Competition? If so, in any case, why would that be of any legal concern? Someone please explain? Second, I have seen many other forum do the free drawings all the time... e.g. creative cow, dmnforum... why they don't have the problem? What makes me mad was that you posted an offer, someone else accepted it, now when it comes to transaction, the offerer withdraw? Is this really legal? (The offer and the acceptance is a legal (although non-written) contract, isn't it?) Is it ethical? What does it say about the company? I am so disappointed with what you have done... so far... Please tell me otherwise...
Sincerely,
PC

Perry, please see the reply to your email.
In short, for everyone else. Flash Kit can't host third-party contests. There is just too much risk. You are free to post a link to your contest, but it can not be held on Flash Kit.
Perry sent an email slamming me for holding a contest and then changing my mind. I did not "hold the contest" and I don't endorse it, nor does Jupitermedia. The legal dept is trying to avoid exactly what happened here -- us being held responsible for someone else's contest.
