i am looking for a image/photo gallery tutorial or FLA. i have alot of pictures i would like to show on my site in a gallery section, but i am not sure how to display it.
this is what i have so far:

i don't like it all that much, the script is slow i think and it doesn't look too put together...even though it's not finished yet.
it is a keeper? or does anyone have any suggestions so far?
It's very nice, except a few things:
- the background is grainy
- the sound of the roll-overs are annoying
- as you said, it's very slow, first time I checked, I clicked on gallery and saw nothing coming, so I closed the window, maybe try to make it appear faster.
- there's some text written with the font Times New Roman
But it's very nice except those small things ;)
I agree w/fleZ, put in a preloader to let the user know the gallery is loading.
I saw a preloader, but it came after a while, like if flash had to load the preloader :/Quote:

yeah, the background has got to be changed, it is so large 1600x1200 that when i optimized it to a decent size it was grainy.
preloaders are coming, this is just a beta version, i am trying to make the preloaders last because i want them to be the same and look consistent.
oh, and i will change the button sound...

thumbnails huh? i will try that, it shouldn't be that difficult to change the actionscript to search for a thumbnail instead of the actual jpg...thanks
looking for a gallery with the effects like that of mjau-mjau.com's image gallery, but not actually xml based.
dynamic, but no xml, php, or the like..
suggestions?
