Two Designs, can't decide

I have two designs that I have made, and I would like to know your suggestions of which one to use. Any comments would be appreciated.

I agree with n-gen. Though I won't be that harsh. And try to use a host that doesn't put advertising on your site. Tried www.brinkster.com ?

I definately agree that they could use work. What could I do to Design 2 to fix it?

As for the ads, Angelfire is just a temp. My old host went kaput so I'm waiting review from Fairmount.nu.
