animals dosing off is one of my favorites, I couls watch my cat till I fall asleep, or is it the other way around and he's watching me?? :D
one of my parents' cats would do something interesting if she didn't want to be held.
Once she realized that escape was useless because I could easily catch her when she tried to run away, she would pretend to accept it and settle in. When I thought that she decided to stay, she would start staring at some part of the room. She would be very interested in a certain spot for quite a while, so I would look to see what she was staring at; while I was distracted, that's when she bolted for her pre-planned escape route.
That cat was really smart

hehehe or the other way around :p
My cat sits in the bath whilst i brush my teeth. He looks at me in the mirror until i turn on the tap. He then licks with his head tilted at the stream coming out. It's quite funny!
What adds to this is my other cat who is about half the size sits and watches him, until he has finished and i've turned off the tap (yes, i am sad. I wait for him to finish).... she then jumps in and drinks the water inside the bath, she hates running water!
Hmmm, i teach them bad habits
When i scratch my dogs back, he scratch mine :D
so let me get this straight?? when you scratch your dogs they scratch you back, then who's He and what does he scratches?? :pQuote:

j/k I know what you mean, my cat scratches my hand when I'm scratching his tummy, I then ask him so will you provide me food and what not? ;)
our boy cat will say 'bless you' if someone sneezes (not in english of course, but that's one of the only times he makes a sound).
girl cat will only drink water from the fishbowl, no matter how many other sources are available.
girl cat will get inside a box and scratch at the bottom for an infinite amount of time, or until you take the box away.
boy cat is terribly frightened of tin foil!
Yeah, she's too smart for us. She'll play with a shoelace until she notices that you're pulling it, or holding it up. Then she just stares at you, with a "I am not here for your entertainment" type of look. The other cat is an idiot. Her attention span is close to nil. Plus, she walks around the house banging her head into things. She'll go under the coffee table and you'll her a loud knock, or thud. then she'll walk somewhere else and do it again.Quote:

Check my baby out!!!!!!
Our little black cat sleeps on my girlfriend's head at night, and likes to drink the water in the tub after someone takes a shower.
Our orange guy loves this toy that hangs down from a door on an elastic string; he grabs it with his teeth and tries to pull it under the bed. When he lets it go, it makes this horrible 'twang!' sound... almost lost an eye once...
Funny email I got today (apologies if this is old...)
:devil:Quote:
How to Bathe the Cat
1. Thoroughly clean toilet.
2. Lift both lids and add shampoo.
3. Find and soothe cat as you carry him to bathroom.
4. In one swift move, place cat in toilet, close both lids, and stand
on top
so cat cannot escape.
5. The cat will self agitate and produce ample suds. (Ignore ruckus
from
inside toilet, cat is enjoying this)
6. Flush toilet 3 or 4 times. This provides power rinse, which is quite
effective. Cat is too big to go anywhere.
7. Have someone open outside door, stand as far from toilet as
possible, and
quickly lift both lids.
8. Clean cat will rocket out of the toilet and outdoors, where he will
air
dry. Cat will return when hungry.
Sincerely,
The Dog

Kittens have to stay 5+ weeks with their mother before they can go anywhere. She teaches them a lot of things before they can go, you cant just give them away.
I didn't ask if you have given them away, I asked if you have found homes for them. I know enough not to have a kitten on it's own when its very young.Quote:

My cat used to climb onto the sink in the kitchen... tap the top of the tap with his paw and then lick the drips as they fell down... :)
Kittens need to be with their mums until they are EIGHT WEEKS old... not 5, not 6, not even 7.
As for quirky pets.
my rats do chinups.
I have video footage of it if people want to see.... (doh! just remembered my computer died at home...!)
I have a cat who waits until there is water in the bath and proceeds to start spinning in the water, getting more and more momentum as he slides up the edges of the bath.
Then he stops and looks to see who is watching him. And then he starts it all over again.
The same kitten runs around growling at his shadow and eating the handles off plastic bags.
My pets are all mental... :) they all have quirkie little things.
That dumb cat that I mentioned before? she also chases her tail.
when she is sitting still, her tail will start to wag in front her. She'll notice it, and ignore it until it starts to annoy her. Then she starts trying to catch it, she'll maybe do a couple circles until she finally captures it under her front paws, then stands on the end of it to keep it down. She looks very pround once she catches it.
idiot
My parents cat is ummm, ill tempered to flea collars. Everyone knows what a wild cat going all crazy flipping jumping 3 to 4 feet in the air digging claws in you is like right? Well, the cat looks normal, it's okay with you holding her for a little, very little while, but DO NOT ADD A FLEA COLLOR! She looses all sence of any being and obstacles become translucent, excpt for you and her claws, and of course the flea collar.
