Love the way it breaks out of the browser window.
They use the viewpoint plugin, there's proprietary apps for that I think, maybe...
one thing I know the plugin does is 'redraw' model when you stop moving it to optimise it.
yeh its pretty cool stuff "link buddy" :) !!!Quote:

I have a animation program that models too. It has a photo realitic thing where u can make the surface the photo, but it #d's models the photo a little so it doesn't look fake. prett cool.
I could maybe do something like that but i wouuld take a long time.
another company that makes awesome 3d applets is www.sumea.com . They've been around for a while now, but have some cool examples at http://www.sumea.com/goodies.html which show their 3d engine.
Definitely check out the "halo" and skull examples (whats more amazing is those exapmles have been up there for several years now, so id like to see what 3d they produce now!). Also, it's nice that there are no extra plugins to download.
nevil...
could be any number of apps, most likely the 3d was done by the automotive design team and given to the web team so the web team chose a compatible plugin...anyway.

This PolyTrans export converter outputs clean files to the Viewpoint "VET" 3D streaming file format (VET = Viewpoint Experience Technology). This file format was also previously known as Metastream 3 (MTS3). Over a year of development by Okino staff has lead to a high quality and robust VET exporter with dozens of options and many built-in features which will create dependable VET models (such as auto-scaling of the scene, automatic texture map resizing for minimal .mts file size, and much more). You can use the exported VET models immediately within your WEB pages or load them into Viewpoint's "Scene Builder" application for further material editing (such as applying custom light or texture mapsd
