adding clips in SEQuence - not in parallel

Does anyone have idea of how to create one movie which includes a sequence of two or more SWFs ? It seems movie clips always play in parallel, but i want to build one movie where they play after each other...

eg an intro, then more stuff.

Is there a way of even finding out how many frames are in a piece of media (so i could then build a <frame/><frame/> type loop until the first one is finished?

It would be easier to have some code on the last frame of each movieclip or swf file that loads/plays the next one.

You can copy the timelines you need and place them in separate movieclips.

Then put movieclip 1 in frame one, and second movieclip on frame 2 and so on.

On the last frame of each movieclip have ...

_root.nextFrame();


Also make and a stop action on the first frame of main timeline.

Yes, the pellepiano method is the best one. However if you don't have access to the internals of the several movieclips, you can use Action Script to concatenate any number or arbitrary SWFs by using the below MML.
