See, the pain of doing this is the lighting. The examples given don't take this into consideration. For example, the purple irises (i believe that's what they are) are steeped with shadows from other nearby flowers. Upon movement the shadows don't change. Also, the animation is stiff. The flowers would bend and sway, not just rotate incrementally at a predetermined axis point. This goes the same for the other examples that were shown. If it works it's so small and the movement so minimal that it's not really that cool anymore. Although this is an interesting concept, it needs a lot of work to fool the eye. I believe I will try it tho... I'll post something back here when I sober up.
i love the subtleness of this type of animation. i have always really enjoyed pixelranger's genesis project
