I believe this one already has too much interface elements to be considered clean and effective.Quote:

I was wondering how they managed to scale the bitmap image w/o distortion. After zooming in, apparently all the images where bitmap traced.

You should tell someone to close the cool sites forum since google seems to list only cool sites, and you're right, I typed "simple but effective" into google and I got a list of really fantastic websites complete with opinions and discussion from people with years of experience...Quote:
Someone should have told me about that feature...
arsehole
I think the Google post meant that Google itself was a simple yet effective site ... not suggesting that this person USE google to find them.
Sense, why do you and I always have to disagree? I was hoping it wasn't you I was quoting here but ...Quote:

That site is simple and effective. Simple doesn't necessarily mean devoid of any skill or animation ... this site uses white space well yet retains something called *gasp* style.
I guess this all depends on what the original poster is looking for. Are they trying to make an app like Google or are they trying to make a "white space" site or are they trying to make some mediocre "car without the paint job" site?
