macro is signing with 3d max so why not have extra support there.
Why ? Why ? Why ?Quote:

i think im gonna e-mail this to macromedia and see what they think.

I would like:
- The option to set the quality of individual movie clips rather than the whole movie (so that aliased and anti-aliased symbols can be used in the same movie) - I don't think you can do this now.
- Support for dynamic text fields not including fonts beneath masks.
- Coldfusion + ASP integration (maybe actions for Setting Cookies, accessing Databases etc.)
- The ability to customise Flash (like Dreamweaver) - be able to create your own functions that you can access through the actionscript menu?
- Dynamically importing images (like loadMovie but load .gif / .jpg into a movieclip)
PS:
We should really take more notice of the posts that get repeated in this forum every day to find out what is needed. Just browsing through the Newbie section, I would suggest:
- In-built action to do custom pop-up windows
- gotoScene action from within a movieclip
- easy ways to control individual sounds, maybe using dot syntax and sound related properties (eg. _root.sound1._volume = 1;)
- built-in 'create scroller movieclip' option
- detect screen size/resolution and window size
- detect operating system/browser
PPS:
What IS 'track as button' and 'track as menu item' ?

* A good replacement for the ActionScript window (something like EditPlus) incorporated into the application.
* Option to export to Shockwave format not just swf
* Flash player to get a new and more powerful engine
* New syntax to run faster than old style syntax !
* Make ActionScript even more Object Oriented
* A better debugger
* Full HTML / HTML window inside Flash swf
* Ability to write enterFrame code without a movieclip!
* Option for timer based running rather that frame based.
Thats all
:o)
Adding sth. out of my imagination.
:)
i want a simple drop shadow! i can't believe they don't already have this!
Being able to control the properties of the backbround and text.
They do, simply duplicate your symbol, make it a transparency so it is like a shadow, and put it a few pixels under and to the left/right of the original picture.Quote:

lol
:)
I know, cool effects like dropshadow, bevels, would be really nice.
and 3d - 4 view - rendering with wireframe would kick a**.
*dont know if this is here yet*
The ability to change the framerate on any set of frames and / or movieclips.
Hmm.. I certainly hope they never embed any 3d-engine or Movie-support into the flash player... It would become both more platform- and hardware-dependent, alot larger and more cpu-demanding.
No, there's one single thing that keeps people from making truly amazing applications with Flash.
TEXT
* Give us a goddamn input-/dynamic-field that acts like one! (number of lines, etc...)
That's my only wish! And I expect Macromedia to grant it! :)

What I'd REALLY like Macromedia to do is to make the graphic tools a bit more like Flash 4. I know so many animators who design in Flash 4 and then import into 5 for AS. One eg. (of many) is that when I click the line colur 'off' that it STAYS off til I click it on again. Same for the fill tool. The damn things are constantly changng colour as soon as I click on another tool so that when I come back to to draw a square for example, I have to reset them again. Pleeeeeease change this!
-e-
-some action handling as within flash 4
-3d built in( fully working)hehe
-the same "copy&paste" option for frames as in flash 4
-a built in *.cof export action for my coffee:)
-a color selector for "Breaked apart" jpg's so that yer can
cut away the pieces that yer don't want to have
-more options within motion tweaning like: beter guided lines, etc.

Better HitTest
Current the HitTest method can detect collision of 2 movieclips' bounded boxes or a point and the shapeflags of a movieclip.
Think how cool it would be if you could detect collision between the shapeflags of 2 movieclips. Something like:
hitTest( target1, shapeFlag1,target2, shapeFlag2 );
I'd like an instant inspiration button.
... some proper literature bundled with the software package. About time!
cheers!

I would like to see something to help the animation, like a macromedia version of adobe photoshop built into flash, and 3d vector built into flash.... keep the importing down and the size of the swfs down....
MM photoshop = Fireworks.Quote:

3D vector = Swift 3D.
Adding these would raise the costs by alot.
:(
It has to be able to make coffee!!!
A filters menu could be cool, with different effects for shape / motion tweening etc. and transformations of shapes (sim. illustrator).
A Plugin menu would be invaluable, as you could expand the capabilities of the program without having to import from third party software.
I'd like to see a better sound engine with support for more than 8 channels of audio.
Oh and a spellchecker is always handy, that may have been mentioned already.
