Just as I responded to the countdown thread below the site goes live.
WOW. I've been waiting for this site, like everyone else, for a long time now. It's great to see that it lives up to what it should have been. New, revolutionary and extremly well designed.
Hat's off to the team over at FI.
Nothing amazing but yet the design is very clean and "elegant." The top to bottom navigation is interresting, something that I'm not used to. I'm not saying it's good or bad, just interesting. I'd say overall, top notch work and design.
That is SLICK. It's undoubtedly "corporate" -- no in-your-face TV style Flash work here, folks -- but it's phenomenal design.
I have to admit I was hoping for something more animated, though.
graphics are so slick and I love the videos for the case studies, very well put together. The only thing I dont like is the fact that the site scrolls in html, would be so much better if organised onto one page. But these guys really know what there doing and there aproach to the business is mega proffesional.

wow, really tight. navigation is a little tricky.
really cool, super use of video. after watching those video's I was too spoiled to read text. really nice presentation of the company, wish i worked there.
Superb, content wise, implementing those video streams is a really smart move for both potential clients and the flash community.
The only bad thing I can think of is the hidden interface and a lot of scrolling.
I must say I am kinda dissapointed. I explected in your face, crazy effects, and all the bells and whistles.
this is the best corporate site ever. NO doubt about it. In the meantime, but in my opinion, this is the best site ever.

You know the graphics are great and I love the style but I think navigation and functionality is a nightmare. Now once I get the hang of it it may be great, but a learning curve seems unecessesary. Great work though.
definitely corporate, but i was expecting more flashy, an animation which would show their vision of Internet 2.0, anyway cool.
Strange, but I get the feeling that when they created the site, they weren't trying to "wow" anyone, just merely trying to get a nice, presentable corporate site out there. The navigation is really strange, and I ended up closing the site after a few clicks because I didn't really get where I was being taken. I'm not saying the site is a disappointment, because I never expected a mind-blowing site anyway, since I figured they'd go for a more corporate style. Still, I can't help but wonder, what the heck were they thinking with that navigation system? Maybe the backend for it is great, I don't know, but that's not user friendly at all...
um... peeps.. hehehe.. i may sound stupid for asking...
but have you tried clicking on the right mouse button on their swf?
they have some other menus attached to the basic menu...
is that a common feature, or somthing they cooked up? coz i dnt think iv seen something like that before..

That's really neat and interesting, but I for one do not right click to try to navigate a site. I really love their animations on the buttons tho.Quote:

That says it for me. Mimicking the OS sorta navigation is difficult to make effective, especially when using your own icons and graphic format.Quote:

I had the same feeling, wanted to know more about the other projects but was then dissapointed that they where only text, was spoilt as well, the videos are great, but I imagine a lot of work.Quote:

U can drag the video controls up/down as well and it autohides depending on its position
I think it was intentionally made that way. If u hit the browser's back button it acually takes to the prev swf page. You can also book a specific page which is a feature most flash sites dont haveQuote:

After using the nav for a short while i got the hang of it and navigating thru wasnt a hustle. The menu-tree shows u what level u r and its basicaly a breakdown of the projects available under different subCategories.
