took about a min to load on a T1 line in an empty office. Then all it was, was a static image, am I missing an aspect of it?

While preloading the colorscheme kind of put me off. Purple, red, pink and green on a wooden background? Anyway, since it's in 'cool sites' I'll give it a shot.

7.9 MB!!!! Are you f***ing kidding me?! that is riddiculous! The site is very nice, but far to long on the loading. There are enough pictures that perhaps it should be loading as you begin to page through the first few. Also, for the file size i'm supposing that for some reason the images are 100% quality. 70% should be fine maybe even 60%. That would cut down the loading time. As far as the load times i soubt its possible to take 5 minutes on a T1. I have only dsl and it took about one and one half minutes. Too long for a broadband user tho IMO.
I'm not even going to bother to download that much.
File size too big = very, very bad.

works like turning pages in a book. click the bottom right corner of the book and drag it.
Nice design, but i'm not a real big fan of subtle navigation systems. The navigation of this site is hard for designers to figure out. An ordinary Internet user would probably get pissed off at the site and leave without finding the page turn thing. At least that's what I did :D

The turn-page navigation wasn't all that obvious at first, but once you get going, there is some very nice artwork in the site. Not the best delivery, but the product is great.

hmm 7.9mb not good. This site can be made in less then 5min, the book-turn effect is from a tuturial that is somewhere online I know I have seen it before.
not much to comment, the site gets 0points of possible 10pts just because of the filesize.
