Yup. Super tight and clean as always :D
But you know what? I'm getting bored. I'd love to see Group94 try something a little different.
I understand about the different comment, but this one is especially smooth. I would imagine that they will do more and more of these sites (photo, etc.) as they are probably getting quite a name for themselves in this genre. Whatever pays the bills, dude.

I like it a lot. This site is the type of site i think is best for displaying photography. Simple sites don't take away from the quality of the photography. All of the G94 Photography sites are excellent in my opinion especially the Carl De Keyzer site.
You find this site boring? I'm thinking like WTF? Go outside dude and get some air.Quote:

sick! love the site, but i have to say the work on the site is exceptional. awesome package!
I disagree with you Ben. I doubt you'd listen to someone if they asked you to leave your usual motion oriented style and start doing something a little different.
Ultra smooth, beautifull photography, and the typography they used top-notch as always. Cant say much, its...perfect!
Zak.
this has become an interesting topic.
branding: group 94 has come up with a design concept that is fluid and consistent. fat clients are calling. it's a style as distinct as 2advanced. it would be a tough pitch for group 94 to tell a new, high budget cliet 'we're gonna try something new at your expense.'
maybe they could flex a little artistically. but if i had their game...i'd be moving websites :mrpimp:
Yeah, you can pretty much tell when you see a site that its Group94. They have created their own style, and it is completely theirs. I'm sure their paychecks aren't crying over lack of change.
g94 is just.. awesome, in my opinion.. i love their site.. and their client sites as well..
SouthShore!!! true that, true that!!! they've created their own type of design.. which is fluent...
i've been trying to find a way to defend g94.. and that's the way to do it!!! it's like 2a, with their design, ul know it's 2a..
with these sites.. the've got the minimalist bite in a way,but that's still cool... i love that they've got it consistent...
a little adjustment to distinguish a site from another, like color, or mouseover effects.. even just the tiniest bit can help a lot...
surely, their paychecks are to envy. :) :) :) :) :)
Haha, well, sometimes ya gotta stand alone :D
I guess, I love Group94's work, and would simply love to see their talent extend to something I haven't seen from them before. Would be fun.
Hey Its mr. webfeats! I have a cd full of sites i used to love going to about 5 years ago and it has a bunch of hillman curtis SWF's, the full Theory7 site, and yours :) awesome. The new site kicks ass as well.
Thank you :)
far better than 2a'sQuote:

probably because we've seen and talked less about them. give them a year and we will be bored of them
hmm one thing that's really surprising is how do they scale the pictures. i've seen it on other sites and guessed they were high res. jpg's so that they could become scalable...
anyone with a read or tute about this?
what part are you referring to on the scaling?
the images scale. and there's no quality loss.
I'm not seeing it. I see them being masked when they are going away, but not scaling. At what point while navigating the site are they scaling? ie when you click a thumbnail, when you switch between images, etc.
yeah the scaling is a key point I noticed and was going to point out as a nice feature. It happens when you see the large picture. scale your browser and you will see it refresh on browser resize. It must be a picture set to a max resolution so all lower resolutions it looks fine. if this is not so let us now g94. site owns. Greenberg studio should be happy.
Yup, the scaling is nice. There must be some trick they use.
And the Group94 style is solid, no doubt. It's clean cut design, no b*ll*cks.
Alltho it sometimes comes across as being 'cold'.
They seem to put everything on the same level, no mather what product they promote.
I can't see them do a site for pepsi or Mc donalds for example (probably not aiming on that market eiter)
For some reason branding seems to get lost in their sites (can't explain why).
