You know, I have symphathy for those who haven't managed to produce something by the deadline, and waiting for them is understandable, but we don't want this to max out before the voting for round 1 even starts, ya know? Can't climax to soon, hehe...

that stereo headed angel on my image was made in lightwave, especially for my volley (I made it during my uni class... even though I was very time restricted, I wasted a lot of my lecturers time :p ). Im only starting out with lightwave, but I think it turned out okay...

i really love the radial burst object you have... with the noise... really nice IMO.
those tribal flames did not turn out like i had hoped, which is why i pushed them into obscurity so much... i dont know about you but i had major troubles with color management with that photo... the levels were *way* out of whack, and color aint exactly a strongpoint of mine!
anyway, probobly should talk after the voting. anything that could swing votes might be unfair(not that we have, just being cautious)

OK, I'm making a comment in this part of the Arena, because i think i need to.
The space/stars in the background are not a stock photo, it was created with brushes/fading/layering. Please don't mistake for a fake image.
The part of the original image (water drop) is on the woman's necklace (created also), earrings and on the transparent face to the right.
These are just notes, and not a swing vote.
lefteyewilly, and all others. if you want to add comments about your image - EVP, I know you had one - feel free to post it in this thread.
I don't see this as a way to "swing" a vote. I just see it as a way to explain your state of mind while you were creating the image.

Great contest guys. Everyone has done themeselves proud. Reading this thread before I saw all the pics I just thought people were being nice saying how hard it was to choose but damn, it took me ages to decide. Kaco v clicky2 was the hardest for me, they were completely different styles and both done to such a high standard.
Everyone should take ondraedan's advice and fiddle with brightness/contrast to get the full effect of his pic. Great work by him, but then again what else did we expect? ;)
after voting for round 1 is finished, I'm almost tempted to post an "outtakes" thread to see the alternatives to the posted.... I know I'm not the only person with alternatives.
Comment: My stock image started out as a Black & White stock photo. I colorized her hair, skin, eyes, and dress. Backround imagry had to, of course, be created from scratch, and is completely fabricated.
I basically looked at my given image.....I have a penchant for females and saw a boolb ;) There is half of the light bulb meshed into her skin. I think she is beautiful.......and I call her "LightBoob". He He!
