Well I need another battle so rules are:
Size: 700 X 250 (smaller is easier for my weedle computer to handle)
Can be rotated
Must use something from previous volley
Time limit: 4 days between volleys (if possible)
Let's go 6 rounds, 12 images in all

Ghost/Hamster Girl, i'm workin on the image as we speak, so if we could keep it the same for now. I actually haven't used such a slim canvas in a battle before, it be fun to work with.

Nice composition... ok, spooky composition...
I like the small details like the nails digging into the wood, the shadows around the window in the door, the gritty textures/noise you added to make it seem more like an horror picture... full of details.
But I think your blood splatter looks overlaid, and not worked in. blood would follow the contours of the door. for instances like that, I basically approximate with making selections that go with the approximate image's contours, and then either smudge or slightly skew to make it look like it's going with the grain/contours.
the drop shadow on the gun is set too far down, should have been closer and to the right.
Now, with all that said - and I think those are minor details overlooked - I still like the image.
You've come a long way from your first images in the Arena, imho, and you're just getting better. I can't wait to see what else you pull out. You're definitely showing more technical work now than before.

Wow.....gerbs great points. I, however have a lighting 'issue'. Grab the burn tool and work the hand over. I can totally see where you were going, but the lighting is just a tad off. Maybe burn the edges of the gun too, IMHO.
Good stuff going on.....get those details down and >POW!< you have yourself a screamin' image.
