decidedly evil. I likes.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....blue, red......and...blue/grey? and it WORKS!!! Wow, I DO like it, and the type.............schweet! Cohesive, yet still not ..........I guess the word is.......one.
I will come back to this....it is good, but there is something that I can not put my finger on right now that is missing....
hmmmmmmmm.......I am sticking with "good work"!
No I think I know what you mean. Just need to try it now. Thanks Gerbs :)Quote:
I can show that version too, if need be.
Lefteye, I love this image! Those red eyes are very scary. I'll see what i can do. ;)
This is just in case someone missed it from being bumped between conversations for the first return volley.Quote:

Revised
so we don't get confused, PM with any critiques on this one.
*EDIT:the reason why i post this is for new people trying to learn from comments of others, and how they can improve.
By the way... the hidden object in the last image is a hamster, located by the clip and trigger of the gun. Check the original, as the revised is a bit darker and harder to see.
mmmm... hampster :). That's neat, I didn't even notice it.
damn nice twist/progression. you guys are putting on a show.
this one might be one of my favorites :D we'll see how it goes
Nice work! I love the detail in the gravestone, it's perfect.
I like how you took the eye and made it work with the gravestone.
Although it seems like the fog is a bit too overlayed, it needs some depth somehow.
I agree about the fog, It is about 5 different layers but it just would not work for me.
Try the burn or dodge tool with those layers, using a soft bruch,it may help.

stocks from sxc.hu and deviantart.com
good composition, but a bit saturated and dull in areas I'd expect detail - the face for instance.
you guys are pushing each other, imho. totally enjoyable.

Wow that was fast! I really like everything but how elongated the person at the bottom is, I don't know why it just bothers me. And the face seems kind of flat compared to the rest of the body. The highlights are there but not the shadows. Around the eyes and the mouth.
I love the texture of the cross and the pyramid in a chuch, very illuminati ;)
Gerbs you've had that finger forever, maybe it's time to wash it?Quote:

I definitely agree with the shadows/highlights on the face and body. I gave the elongated look, to give some creepiness into the image. But maybe it's too much.
I had so many other ideas to put into this, but I couldn't pull them off the way I wanted to.
bah, that's character...Quote:

god i hate geocities.
I am going out of town until the 22nd. I tried to finish the volley but ran out of time, sorry. I'll get one up by the 23rd okay?
damn. I come back and the whole Arena has elevated in a week what people try to aim for in a year's worth of progress.
Ghostgirl, the attention to details paid off big time for this image. The shadows are great.
looks good,Quote:
you did a great job on the lighting. it looks natural.
Ghostgirl, howd you get rid of all the flowers in the pillars? Did you find the original stock, or did you put that much work into it? iF you did that much work...I must say, that takes some patience.....
Great image.
very nice image Ghostgirl. I must say you've improved lots since I first saw you battling. Truly awesome image :)
oh no willy, I found the orignal on scx.hu, not all that much work because I am an instant gratification kinda gal ;)

lefteyewilly, I can't comment on what I can't see.
perhaps you should start using imageshack.us for your images?
Thanks for the link Gerbs...i'll keep posting on that site.
Last one so I better make it good.
And since this is my first real battle, how do we determine the winner? Or are we all winners because it was such a good game? :D

model: link
no real winner...just for fun...unless it's march madness.
By the way...i like the vertical transistion...smooth!
*edit: if you are having enough fun, you don't have to make this your last round in our battle...but if you want to move on, coo.
*edit2: I'm a bit dissappointed not to have any comments on my last image. POOP.
lefteye i really like your last image. i think you did a great job on ripples and reflection of the pillars on the water. a few small things id like to see are maybe the pillars going down into the water by making it more transparent just a bit. and also the colors of the boat and girl. i think the water would cast a greenish hue on them boat but it would be more tinted nearer the waters surface. overall i love what youve done with it. awesome job.
Ghostgirl...sorry i was away at a conference for 3 days, I'll post an image soon (2days)
Mrkavale...thanks for the tips..your definitely right about hte color of the boat being tinted.
GhostGirl, That last post was pretty killer, the wall to sky transition came out perfect. The contents of your window/picture frame work well too. Bravo
