Very good site!! Looks off the wall - I like it!! Every flowed good!!
I like it. Your style is light and fun. I realy enjoyed exploring your site. The only thing that got me was the loader didnt' seem to fit well with the feel of the site. But what do I know.
good job
Check the types in your splashpage, the last paragraph is faded, you should adjust it to fixed pixel coordinates (x.00, y.00).
The splash page is pretty nice and cozy.
I love the "slow connection" message, it's an elegant move, but there too you should adjust the text, it's not neat enough, and perhaps I'd put a little bit of graphics in the message..something simple, but more "professional" than just a paragraph in the middle of the page.
The preloader is a bit cheesy.. after such a beautiful splashpage I'd expect something better (it's true, your splashpage really sets high expectations!).
It would be better if you loaded the content separately..you have put the vertical sliding door between one "module" and the other..why don't you just load the single modules then?
The graphics are cute, though it's not really easy to navigate, plus the sitemap is more of a typographic experiment that a real user's help, it's just frustrating.
Overall, I like the aesthetics, though usability is quite an issue. You should make the navigation more visible, and split the archive in modules to be loaded.
Cheers,
Ascanio.
thanks wattsup for the encouraging comment and especially p80 for sparing his time to explore the content...i've worked real hard on them u know
thanks also to keyone.it for your input :
so far you're the second person, first being rudolflai99 in member's site that's mentioned about the blurry fonts. they look sharp as razor on my screen and man, i've checked several times and everything's dead on xx.0 axis for sure...but i'll definitely look into it.
i'm on broadband myself and forgotten entirely about the message for slow connections, put it on at spur of the moment thinking there would be something to stare at for people with dialup and yes, great reminder and suggestion from keyone on dressing the message up.
i'm getting unsure with my dragon loader myself... originally meant to use as new logo for my company but for the site... i do see what you and p80 mean. perhaps a commie star or something will be more in line i guess... will get it changed later cos i'm loaded with work at the moment.
sorry but it was my original intention to have the modules loading separately when the curtain is down... tried it and really didn't like the flow so you'll have to bear with the scene change the way it is i'm afraid.
the navigation can be improved i know, but it's no guessing game for users the way it is at the moment. well keyone... it's just an experimental site afterall for me to tryout some ideas and learn from them... but i'll definitely bear all your valuable suggestions in mind for future projects.
last question to keyone.it- from the way you comment on the other sites here, do you teach graphics and design? if you don't, believe me, you'll make a great tutor.

:)
you've got some really sick graphics in there, with some slick animations to match.
my only qualm is that your window options are either pop up for fullscreen...personally i'm not all that fond of full screen since it takes away all browser controls, and pop ups, well we all know how that goes. i'd like to see your site self contained in a browser window with all toolbars (it does look great fullscreen though, even though it's not my fave setup)
very nice indeed. great work. great design.
only thing i don't understand... what is 'skip loading'? i click it and the page loads just fine without the preloader thingy.
am i missing a fantastic intro? if so, your site doesn't need an intro it is fantastic when you skip the loading... i say just skip the loading to begin with...
i always skip the intros... if there is a button that lets you skip it... it means it probably isn't important... otherwise why would you let someone skip it?
thanks a lot guys.
DMB- nromal browser is not possible as the images will get squashed and distorted. personally, i prefer this site to be viewed in fullscreen, popup is a compromised option... but my next version will be in normal browser only, i promise.
admedia - 'skip loading' does sound silly doesn't it? originally i was using the loader to gain further time for preloading some audio in the background. also, i kind of like the mood of roaming sfx in the loader building up slowly to "impact" the curtain-rise when music starts... while at the same time offering a 'quick entry' option for ones that didn't want to wait... wording is totally wrong, right? what do you think? maybe a 'start' button that fades in slowly OR just let the whole thing run and not bother offering the quick entry option at all... i'd really like your opinion on this. anyone?
thanks

i see what you mean. the sfx does have a nice way of setting you up. i think after the gong has completely faded you need to let it rip.... no button.
Skills man skills. You did a really good job the art is really nice has a good feel to it that cant be ignored. I dont really care for the navigation though. But over all this is good stuff that inspires us all.
I just hope Homeland Security didn't catch me looking at your site...
oops! what have i done?Quote:

Well, we meet again.
maybe for the blurry fonts you should use another pixel font.
that maybe would help. go to your nearest library and test it there. it can help.
and for the swf being sqashed maybe you should try putting it into a html file.
