yeah, I know... posting this where the Lounge Lizards lay... I should be ashamed.
But a quick run through FlashMX, Flash8, Flash General Help, Flash Video and even Scripting and Backend there's a few unanswered questions.
I see that Tonytryout, pellepiano, iaskwhy, sportzguy933, and a ton of others are helping out; but why not some more?
hell, even I've been helping out a little bit in the design areas.

I help out every so often up there.
I spent a few hours on the phone with a client trying to help them get their wireless adapter online before finally giving up and telling them I really don't do tech support.
I am going to my bro-inlaws later to reformat and reinstall his notebook.
I would love to help, but I'm anti-n00b and an elitist.

I usually help out in the site check forum but ever since XxPiperxX replied to every single thread in there, i stopped.
She's not been here for a while. You can resume.
She ruined it for me, it will never be the same again, I cannot return.
But damn, those poor kids in there really need some guidance, someone that will fight through all the geocities and angelfire pop ups to find their little nugget of a website....i gotta go back, for the children...thanks gerbs.

I think I had this discussion with aversion or MarkP once...some of the n00b questions...just damn. I mean I know they don't know anything, but they're asking to win a track meet before they can crawl. Other times, you have no idea what it is they're asking. I'll have sympathy for the ones that just don't know English that well, but a lot of times I read something and just shake my head.

Don't know about whether he's alive or not but he hasn't been around in a long while.
At one time he was a great asset but his attitude soured to much.
You had to play to his good side. Take his crap personally and you'd wish for a virtual shotgun. Let it slide, go along with the banter and he was quite patient and a true fountain of knowledge.Quote:

Most boards are not very noob friendly. But FK is different. It's always been different. There isn't the holier than thou attitude here that I've seen on other boards and far less flaming goes on here than in any other board I've ever seen, no matter the subject.
It should be easy for a noob to ask a question and not be put down for asking a question. There are a lot of lurkers afraid to post, but they are learning to, and a lot of noobs do come back and help as they learn more.
But the mods and staff here are what makes Flashkit what it is. The early guys were good and set the pace and tone of how it was going to be around here, and as we can all see, it works. We're a healthy community and we're doing good.
And my gawd, we're known around the world as being the best flash help site there is. That's something. :)
