Hello all you flashkittens,
I have a small flash site that i believe sucks monkey knuckle soo i was wondering if you could send me som feed back. prefeerably bad feedback nothing good or i will smite thee!
1. i know its on tripod
2. i know its not very concise
3. i don't know how to make it dynamic
4. i don't know how to **** with xml
5. i don't know how to........(you finish).

Its dynamic...You have transitions going on, (although some are a bit jerky!)
One thing I would work on is the colour scheme...Looka round some of the portfolio sites which are reviewed on here...Look for some inspiration, (although don't rip someone else's work!)
Also, adding sound can make your site more exciting for the viewer. However, remember to add a mute button function so users don't get annoyed by the sound.
If this is your portfolio site, you are trying to show off your work. None of the "buttons" under your portfolio section link to anything. One thing when designing any kind of site is to make sure all links work properly...
Keep going at it, and don't be afraid to ask for help / advice from the users of this board...

I like your animation, and the minimal aproach... but
I like the graphics/logos on your contact page alot more, more professional.

reminds me a lot of when i made my 1st site... havent read the previous posts but.....
A: add a hilt to your buttons...
B: if your gonna keep that dodgey orange colour in the background, double outline your buttons so they have a thin white line followed by your thick black line... will make it softer on the eyes.
C: remove the qucik answer shape changen tween, and replace by 20/30mins solid flash frame by frame work in the portfolio opening animation. It will be worth it in the end...

In terms of any kind of text that you want to turn into a button object, it is important to edit the button (double click it) and go to the frame labeled "hit". On that frame, make a keyframe and draw a solid rectangle (just the fill, no lines so u save bandwidth) to replace the actual text. That frame is never visible but that represents what is clickable in the button. Without it, you have to actually click the lines of the text, and that's just a pain in the ass for people browsing your site. Another thing is, work on your UI building. The site looks flat because theres just lines. Look at the way your operating system makes things not look "flat". If you have windows XP, look at the green start button for instance. It has a very slight gradient from dark green to not so dark green, giving it a little bit more life as if light is hitting it differently at different points. Also, look at your mouse cursor on the screen. If its the default one, notice the little shadow on the bottom right? That alone believe it or not adds a lot of depth. Try playing around with stuff like that in flash and photoshop and it will make your design a lot better in a short amount of time.
