will be checking out some of the names i'm not familiar with which have been mentioned here
müm anyone? cortney tidwell?
mum, röyksopp? You guys are getting pretty heavy into that genre... might as well push out portishead, garbage, lamb, fc kahuna, goldfrapp, elysian fields, hooverphonic... among a whole bunch of "similar-ish" groups.
yeah, as i said, i wasn't sure really if those are classified as the same genre generally.
hooverphonic
I was watching my Chris Cunningham dvd the other day and my friend came in for the Portishead video and he told me how when he first heard them he was under the influence and it really creeped him out :)
They are such a good mellow band to listen to just to chill out to.
Portishead + paul weller = Wild Wood
Love that song... Original and remix
Yes, and yes. I got into avalanches from frontier psychiatrist but as it turns out, the rest of the album is pretty good (although quite different than frontier psychiatrist).Quote:

Excellent, my friend's boyfriend works at the college they are playing at- 2 tickets may be coming my way for free.
at first, I did not see the word "friend"... oops.
Sigur Ros, is something I can work to without getting distracted by lyrics :)
