Wow, looks great. A lot of cool details. You know where to find me when it's finished.

Haha, Alluvian, Render doesn't have to worry only a few would be able to replicate that quality and those guys have the respect and talent to make their own ;)
I haven't commented this project yet but it's a great piece of work and the fact that you show the progress so thoroughly makes this thread an instant classic! Good job and thanks for sharing and inspiring :D
I will say, seeing the shadows in action is much different from seeing them in a screenshot, it does still look a little funky, but it's much better than what I imagined.
Also, those logos are superb.
@Alluvian: I dont mind stripping here ;p
@phreax: thx, well I started this thread also to keep myself motivated of course,- so little credit goes to those who already replied :D
not a demo update,- but for me something more important:

my homework article for psychology :D
I had to write about the psychology effects in the game,- how I used them in the concept design ect. itīs a lot about the square as desgin elment (unify, overview, control impression,...) using colors in groups and how playing against someone else teaches one about the own abilities and quantities.
I made some bigger screenshots for the print and so I though that it might be a cool idea next time to increase the screen size- will do that propably with the next demo release just to see how well it performs.
if you dont get an A+, I'll personally see your teacher
Ya man, I agree with Mr. Malee, your game is doing excellent coding wise, and visual wise plus your explosion effects are *****ing. Keep making this game, and I'm sure it will be good.
and you make nice newsletters too... I am just envious of your abilities Render but I guess your work does inspire me.
Very nice. Love to see the Progress.
Just some tiny things (wel lstill WIP) to mention.
Would add at least a drop shadow for the Tanks. And the Trackmarks are not always correct, missing T juntion and crossing tiles ;)
I look forward to this game.
(Didnt knew that you currently live in Germany ;) )
thx guys :)
@X-Tender: havenīt seen you for a long time here,
shadows for the tank might be an option- Iīll add a option menu anyway to deactivate it because at slower computers it might slow down. about the trackmarks,- I thinking of a solution - right now my depth management was designed not that way but I might have an idea for that issue.
did a little painting today, wich I might recycle at some point for this project:

seems pritty cool ,
are you going to have it as a online game??
(witch i dont have a clue of how to do , haha)
-------
how do you make the arrow find the path to the cell your high-lighting???
Had a lot other anoying stuff to do :/
Currently Iam working on the HoneyPunch again by recoding the core parts (I was yound and stupid when coded it, and it is so bad ;) )
This looks really cool. Are you gonna render the tanks again before it's finished?
I think it might look cool with the black outline you got on the logo and you're kind of missing some of the details on the treads of the original model here.
Maybe it's my monitor but it looks black on the small image when there should be those cogs and wheels there.
Maybe you could shine a light on them so the top of them would show and create a bit of contrast in there.
edit: this was older than I thought, oops. What happened to this project then?
its on hold :D, I am a very busy person right now and this game was started in my vacation but right now I dont have any of that.Quote:

I am thinkig of recycling some bits and pieces of it for either a new direction or a remake to get it done. What this project needs is a gameplay direction wich is not that easy.
Anyway will update this thread as far something develops regarding this project.
The last thing I remember were some companies that contacted me because of this thingy, like licensing stuff
