"AKA spoiled rotten"
In terms of not having to chase up invoices or worry where the next work is coming from, yes ( Creatively is a different matter entirely ).
Squize.
working full time in online gambling games in the uk. this area is flying right now so although its not as much fun as working with runny, jumpy, shooty games its a very stable industry with huge potential for expansion and world domination. yay.
I'm a Duty Manager at a leisure centre, and train people to be lifeguards, and teach kids to swim. Also a basketball coach.
I've a degree in business and grpahic design, so my job is nothing to do with my degree, althouhg I'd love to get into web design full time and game development. I've been busy doing small sites, and things for friends, contacts...nhothing paid yet, but hopefully soon! :) fingers crossed!
still learning all the time - I don't think anyone can ever say they don't learn anything anymore in their topic / field.
I'm a java web application developer by day. I do a bit of flash freelancing on the side, but really not much. Most of my flash stuff is just personal itch-scratching.
I was a college kid, just making some flash game called 'Mars Rover' for some marooned reason, then got sucked into this insane world of flash game development (*shwiing!).
Started reading tutorials here at FK, and finally came across threads in the games section, then I was like yeah, I can dig this! So after changing three serious gaming companies in major cities in me country I am back at my place again with my laptop, flash ide, fk, google and wiki to help me along the way for that one 'game' that I know I will create.
I also love composing music through software.
I am a Web Specialist for a good sized publishing company in New England.
Web Specialist means I do everything that no one else knows how to do, (or doesn’t feel like doing) including CSS, graphic design, sound editing, Photoshop work, and everything involving Flash for the whole company.
Currently I am making educational websites for use in libraries.
freelance game dev and occasional corporate contracting slut (for the money).
Maybe ill start a games portal...... (lol)
Full time developer (and part owner) of a game company (not really doing flash personally these days, more project management).
With that said, we are ALWAYS looking for good Flash developers. If you know AS3 and want to write large multiplayer Flash games for a living then drop me a line and we'll give you a shot. Sorry, but preference is going to be given to people in the states because we prefer to contract-to-hire developers when we can and hiring a non-US citizen gives us paperwork problems.
I'm currently doing some crazy Perl work with some large scale databases - its a pretty interesting job but I'm under NDA so I can't give away many details :(
My last job was working for Carat Fusion, and I was on the team (of 3 other guys) that developed the new http://www.reebok.com. Yeah, its pretty good resume material :D
I haven't done much Flash game development as of late because I've been busy with Java/C# coding for my classes, but I've been developing a pretty extensive game framework in my spare time that handles things at a higher level (i.e. deals with collision detection, entity management, etc.).
or a popular community based forum built around flash.Quote:

Seems to be going really well (in some ways shockingly easy and other ways unreasonably hard compared to what I was expecting), and for A-Levels I'll be taking Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
The former three have pretty obvious applications in Flash games, and Chemistry I'm taking not because I want to, but because I'm good at it, I have friends there, and it fits well with the other subjects. Ideally I would've taken Art, but the workload for that is staggering. I'll pursue my other interests in spare time - drawing what I want, and also taking Japanese lessons outside of school hours. Ultimately hoping to get into either game development or particle physics (both sound pretty fun).
After Monday's exam, I'll FINALLY be able to get back to my Flash development, after months of dormancy! So many things to try... I have to get Invasion 5 out of the door (which realistically will only take me about a week - a week that I will have, since I'm completely free of commitments until September =]). Also got a bit of client work to do, and I really want to start a proper AS3 RTS... with tiles, buildings, pathfinding, and thousands of sprites. An AS3-accelerated tower defence game would be interesting, too.
Ahh~! Life is good. :)
I don't have a specific career. I have been an electrician, pizza maker, sign designer (not as interesting as it sounds), and currently I am an electronics assembler. I plan to return to college to get a BA in Industrial Design, which is actually why I'm currently an electronics assembler. The company will pay for my school, and I learn a lot about what many engineers/designers miss when they are designing things...
Anyway, I've been tooling around in flash since high school, but I didn't bother to learn AS until I had left high school. In college I always had ideas for games that were far beyond my ability. Now, my abilities can get me just about where I'd like to be, but finding the time and the motivation to bring a big project to completion is kinda hard.
I work in a creative agency, we mostly do flash websites, but a lot of them have mini games... I'm sure I would be able to make a lot more when freelancing (every agency is looking for actionscripters, so there's enough work)... But I like the atmosphere and the variation of my job a lot. BBQ's when the wheather is good, we're getting a pingpong table soon, we just got a new sound system and the music they're playing is mostly good, ... Good times. Bit heavy on the workload though.
I've opened a web and graphic design studio 8 months ago, called it Kreativa Studio. Mostly about design. Never actually finished any game but I'm always looking and browsing through games forum, some really interesting stuff going on here - but you already know that.
I'm also a professional dancer.
When i joined flashkit i was in sixth form. I have now finished my degree and work full time for a large architects practice in the UK. Flash remains a hobby amongst a few others, hence my long periods without any action on FK!
When I joined Flash Kit, I was using a Newgrounds.com tutorials to make a little mouse click and shoot game (which unfortunately doesn't work well if not published in Flash 4 and I never optimized for the web).
Now, I working full-time for a company in Flash game/application development.
Currently, studying computer graphics, game developer 104.2%, sleep only 3 hours every day,
most of the time
designing/game developing
doing homework/going to college.
Just moving into Senior year of High school. Started flash in an online course in 9th grade, on and off(mostly off) playing around and self teaching using the horrifying actionscript help dialoge from adobe. havnt done much in way of games or animations because i usualy get about half way though a project and a new 360 game comes out ^_^ gotta love it. so yeah as the name says, i am a flash noob to the max.
I'm just a kid makin' games... My parents want me to get a real job, but this is just too much fun. Moving into my senior year of high school :)
