I thought it was someone looking to raise a big post count quick, without realising that there is no post count increment in the lounge.
in the past people who flooded the lounge were usually seeking attention
...and generally we just banned them because they were annoying and we didn't like seeing the same name repeated as last post on every thread.

I just opened the lounge one evening to see every thread with this user as the last post. If he is doing stuff to really annoy us, rather than just posting everywhere because he doesn't know his way around, then sure, we can lose him quickly.
Other than an outright ban, we could also add him to a moderator queue, so we can assess his posts prior to them being visible.
So far I haven't seen his posts as anything other than fodder for a bunch of lounge pirahnas, but if there is something more ominous afoot, we can take action anytime.
