OK for anyone reading this far who has the same sand box issues when testing from Flash. Mine was caused by using quotes in my .xml. Apparently they are not needed when writin URL's .
So does the function execute?
Yes, I had an error in the .xml where I had changed the name from links to something like URLLinks.... and I forgot. So after your last round of fixes (the global Var thing) now it is working. Thank you sooo much, You saved my sanity!
