Great job on the Horrible Bosses reskin! Checked out your portfolio, lovely work you have there, and some I recognise as having come through the office before (Reepicheep!).
I still love Flash, i...

This is great, like a high school reunion or something :)
Dying under horrible client day job work at the moment, getting to grips with Unity3D in the off hours.
But speaking of client day job...

Very, very cool. Tried it with some old demos I had and it's so much smoother - all those AS1 experimental games have become feasible in one fell swoop :)

Gravity is a form of acceleration, a velocity that is constantly changing (note the constantly!). So like in the function coded above, the velocity is increasing by a fixed amount every frame, and...

Edge is always a good read I reckon and worth picking up for more than just the flash article. There's a good article on Nintendo, their successes, and their history of innovation in the industry.

Blink, you should do an exclusive FK performance of the 2K soundtrack, all in ASCII for the people that missed out! I wouldn't mind a rendition of "The Desert" actually.
And, for the handheld with...

Right, here are the scans. They're not the best quality, but I think that's just as well. If anyone has a problem with the scans being here, let me know and I'll take them down straight away.

Just spent the last hour or so listening to that as I worked. Most awesome, as in, I was struck with awe! Nice to see everything coming together.

PCFormat hey? I haven't read that since Mark Ingham and Ed Ricketts left! I'll have to give that a read the next time I'm loafing around Sainsburys.
Pred, the articles don't usually appear on the...

I'd known about Jayisgames but I'd never thought them as being so important that they're the ones who get interviewed about the state and future of flash games.
I'd never heard of Kongregate...

Just thought I'd let the board know of a feature in this month's Edge magazine called "Flash Flood", talking how 'web entertainment has evolved thanks to a new wave of slick, amateur-driven games'.

Sorry, I thought I'd mentioned that. There are two methods when sending through http, "POST" and "GET". GET variables are the ones sent directly through the URL request and hence are easily assigned....

Nice enough version - but you really have to at least not use GET variables to submit the scores! The way it's set up anyone can just type in whatever score they want directly into the browser.

Hope she's back on form soon mate, and that you and the rest of the family will be joking about the whole brouhaha in no time :)

And of course to VengeanceMX who I have not congratulated thus far in order to build up anticipatory drama and draw emphasis to his fine work :)

From bedroom coders to Times Square! Congrats Tom, to you, Squize and Jeb :)
It's an amazing video, really nice to see something longer as opposed to a tantalising teaser in a flash intro/banner....

Good to see 2K making a comeback! I've always thought your art was amazing and it's great to see all the improvements i've seen in your work over the past couple of years applied to 2K - it's...

I really like the idea and personally I think it looks lovely. I agree with Saphua's point about being able to read comments when not logged in/registered, but disagree with the rest of what he said....

Fantastic. Well utterly gorgeous and fantastic. I expect nothing less than brilliance from the team that worked on it and this doesn't disappoint - it's so polished and playable - and fun! As...

it makes so much sense to have Flash games running on the 360 - I just don't see the benefits of MS keeping the flash player a secret - unless they're trying to discourage certain kinds of games...
-
I have been a stranger haven't I! I've kind of taken a stand and I'm abstaining from MSN & ilk and it's worked wonders on my productivity and home life. You and your cool ideas though - I bet you...

very cool - the perspective distortion is perfect! The skybox idea is a really interesting one - looking forward to seeing how you use it.
You doing 3d hey? Today 3D, tomorrow world domination it...

Squize and walnoot are right - it's not a difficult effect to do and it's really cheeky selling it for $60!
This article describes the principles and gives you the code courtesy of the great...

Nice to see this finally available for public consumption Marmotte! It's like sweet candy made with your secret recipe - more sugary than the most japanese of import games and far far better than the...
