You could save the Excel file in a MS XML format (Called SpreadSheetML) and then read that into your SWiSHmax movie, parse it, do whatever it is you want then save it back in the same SpreadSheetML...

There was a limit to the script in some of the older versions, but the maximum number of lines was huge.

Which version are you using?

The example I posted above only works as swf 4.

swf 5 and 6 require the [] to have their scope specified. See attached for amendment. I have also made one more change to the onenterframe...

The syntax and 99% of the available methods, functions and classes are exactly the same. There are some movieclip methods missing from SWiSHmax, eg attachmovie and attachsound.
