strange question...but what the heck...
just import a png of the arrow-cursor, with transparency (just printscreen it)
convert it into a MC (F8)
name the instance "cursor" (with no quotemarks)...

duplicate ur symbol and edit it to modify it (all this with right button mouse over ur symbol)

well u don'y have to re-import them into ur original fla : just name the new sound file like the old swf in ur root directory, replace it, the loadmovie function will do the rest
but maybe i'm bad...

why dont u just check where the guy click and move ur scaled pic so the right zone is on screen

get ur sound into a swf and use the holly loadmovie function (read less - think more :D)

1) stardrag ur slider
2)if (mouse._x > 100) { FRAME += 1; gotoAndPlay (FRAME)}
3) make a routine for that "if" to include the screen limits
