This was my last animation assignment which was a 5-10 second animation with lip synch....

nah, i didnt say I'd quit. I said that the drawing is so distorted that if I was trying to get a normal looking portrait (no distortion) THEN I should quit.

and maybe there are some minor similarities between both looks, but I don't think that you should worry about that.
