Thank you for your time and effort.I unzipped the files and looked at them in a folder on my desktop. The text does not load into the credits movieclip, but a 'variables loaded' message is displayed....

I copied the wrong file to the directory. It's now there. It's name is test.fla

I fixed the jerkiness by changing the yscale to alpha.
