Nice try Cozz, but you are way off! I reckon it is probably an in-joke between Sheffielders. I'll leave it for a few days, then I'll tell.

Right, here we go!
All of you in the UK will understand this, but for the rest of you....
I was born in Sheffield, England. There are two football (soccer) teams. Sheffield Wednesday and...

Well, I checked it on a slow link, and your pre-loader works fine :)
Not sure what you mean about the text, it all looked OK to me.

Hi harald-hans, welcome to the forum.
Swish has its own built in compressor. Click the content tab and highlight a picture, then click options...
Try the different options of compression,...

The simple answer is "no" - however, if you can break it down to individual frames, you can create a similar effect by the use of show/hide. I guess it depends how long the video clip is!!

Hi Captain - Welcome to the forum.
You answered your own question, you need to buy the software. Well worth the money!

Aha, now I know all the rules, I can play the game :D :D
(I didn't realise it was animated)
What you need to do is break it down to it's individual frames, and show each one seperately one...

I'm not sure I understand what it is that you're trying to do here.
You need to apply an effect to the picture, just as you do with a text animation. Please reply if I mis-understood the question.

Gracust,
That's exactly what happens when I try it!! I was wondering if it was just me or my setup. I have received other emails with embedded swfs to hotmail, but I guess Outlook Express just...

Gracust,
If you get this to work, try sending it to a hotmail account. If that works, email me!! I'd love to be able to do this :D

Flash projector, as far as I am aware is free. To get it, you need to download Flash from Macromedia on a 30 day trial, and Flash Projector is bundled with it. I'm 99% certain that this is a free...

Just in case you weren't aware, you cannot use the .swi file, you must use the .swf

Well, it ran really slow for me, even though I downloaded it and ran it locally. I can't understand why, because it seemed to be using non-complex effects. Maybe it's just me :(
Anyone else?

Hi rh0ads, welcome to the forum.
I know that this is frowned on, and I don't want this to sound like a RTFM type of post, but to answer all your questions here in one hit, would take too long.

Aren't computers wonderful? Totally unpredictable!
I guess it's something on your local PC that's causing this, otherwise Flashkit would be inundated. Sherobe's response would also be my response,...

Is there any way that you can post the SWF and/or the SWI? I'm sure someone will be able to help
-
Flashopper is spot on here. Maybe there could be more specific threads too.
Like a forum within a forum, yeah I like that idea..
-
AngryGoat,
It's not much of a suggestion, but you could try messing around with the frames per second, and hope you can get close.

Hey Teddie!
I just checked it again on my girlfriends PC. She is also 56K but as she lives out in the sticks, it's a 'slower' 56K :D
Well, the pre-loader took 2.5 minutes but...
No...
