You won't have to worry 'bout learning how to load from external text file. Simply load text.swf into level 2. I'll create text.swf.

My thoughts on the text file was to be able to re-use the animation, or if the company details change only the text file needs updating.

In the open file dialog box I choose my mp3 file. Under settings I've chosen Sound 128kbs
After clicking Encode I end up with a 32kb file that is just two seconds instead of the 1:28 total playing...

I love Windows Movie Maker and was considering making a template of four swish files to frame my movie. Wonder how that would seam together?

The only solution I know if is to draw your shape then draw shapes to cover it up. Then use move effects to uncover it so it has the appearance of being drawn in.

I think your problem is not Swish related. The reason I feel this way is because I have used Swish on Win98, Win2k, WinXP and just don't have the problems you discuss. Well, I can get Swish to crash...
