I have a movie clip with a listbox in it. I need to be able to duplicate this movie clip and still access the list box. For some reason I am unable to get to the duplicated list box...

Sorry about that, I was tired. In fact, I still am...

But I gave it a try and it has worked :) Just the onClipEvents needed to be duplicated as the baseline clip was duplicated. I read somewhere...

Can I duplicate these actions with the line clip?

Do I have to clear the line each time the clip is dragged? If so, won't that look choppy?

Try enclosing those strings in double quotes instead of single quotes.

When you call _root.createEmptyMovieClip("square", 1) you are left with a movie clip called square on level 1.

You can define, in an inline fashion, the onClipEvent handler for that instance:
