Well, one way (which is more complex) is to make a new layer with a few frames ahead of ur buttons. On frame2, have the image u want to show for button1, one frame3 have the image for button2, etc,...
-
Even if symbols are on the same layer, they still go above or behind each other, depending on the order in which you placed them on. With your technique, there is no way to get each button's image to...

I think I've solved the problem. I've set all my sound effects, dialogue and music to 'Event', and to keep it all in sync, I use a short silent 'null' sound looped for the length of the scene, and...

Good photos. I love the close ups, the ice is amazing. Very sharp. What camera do you use?

Happy to help. I like your website btw, very nice Flash work. I can't never be bothered doing my sites all in Flash like that.

I took away the masking bit in the enlarging square symbol, you didn't need that. I think it works now. Have a look:
-
Here you go. (I take it it's meant to look like the image is disappearing because black squares are enlarging and covering it up)

Your host doesn't allow off-site linking, so we can't see your SWF or image file. Please put them on a page and send the link to that page, then I'll see if I can help.

I think the cause of this is because of the masked symbols inside symbols, so it's not displaying in flash. It should work as an SWF though. Export or test you movie. It works for me if I do that.

Can't u just select "use default"? it doesn't matter if the font is missing, all the important stuff is converted to graphics.

12fps is the most common speed, but if your wanting smooth animation you may want to try 24fps. This is the same as what you see on TV (in UK anyway, it might be 25fps in USA I'm not sure). Though...

Keep in mine if you're wanting to save as an *.swf, it's under File > Export, not Save As.
-
I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, but you could try this:
Take away all the 'stop' frames except the first one, use this for your buttons:
on (release) {gotoAndStop("wherever");
}

I used a technique like this in a Flash once.

I don't know of any tutorials but it wouldn't be too hard to make the navigation. What you need to do is make movie clips of the button animation, then put that movie clip into the 'Over' (frame 2)...

I haven't counted but yes they are I think. My new one is definetly.
http://www.markhaldane.com/flash.htm Elwood & the Fly has the problem in it I believe, to a small extent.
-
Probably the simplest way to do this is to go to Insert > Symbol and select "Movie Clip". In this symbol, animate your rotating GIF. Now go to Edit > Edit Document to go back to the project. Open the...

I'm not a newbie, I've been making Flash productions for while, but there's a problem that in the past I've attributed to my old (slow) computer.
In my cartoons, the sound slowly slips out of...
