There is no "crisis" give me a break.
People complain that rare decks beat non-rare decks, this is EXACTLY what was happening before except only a few very very lucky people, or people who played...
-
Wow, I'm stuck.... I sold everything but my rares and some pillars / blessings / flying weapons, and metamorphosed a few times trying to find the right mark.
So now I have 30 electrum and a...

Maxix has the most creative deck I've seen so far, he uses all quantum pillars... the idea being that with 6 quantum pillars on the board, it evens out and you get enough quanta to play a rainbow...
-
:( well so much for that...
A few days into 0.42 I am finding a lot LESS variety than in the Nova days.
The Phase Dragon deck -

as boring as it is to play or play against, it is...
-
They'll spread exponentially... if you have a Miracle how can you NOT put it in your deck... and Miracle decks will score about twice as much as non-Miracle decks, so they'll quickly rise to the top...

Samura has built a pretty awesome Immolation deck (not sure why he's using Deja Vus when he could be using Sparks though).
However my Totally Cheap Dimensional Shield deck beat him before I saw...

Speed changes everything. A Mono Fire deck can now reliably put down a Fire Shield before a Nova enemy brings out the Lycans, Chrysaoras and Fireflys... or at the very least, draw a Rain of Fire or...
-
Actually maybe the AI is bugged...
I just whacked an Aether deck to death with Fahrenheit, the AI just sat there and discarded cards from its full hand... Elemental victory... AI doesn't know how...
-
Well, I just switched to the mono Fire strategy... and won a Fahrenheit. So I'm sticking with it :D
It DOES have a very high win consistency. Simply because there is no "mana control" in the game...

Some early notes...
Playing with my old deck, it's actually running at about 50-60% efficiency. If I took the now useless cards like Otyugh and Parasite out, it would probably run even better.

I have a feeling the new dominant deck type will be dual-color, with a major color fueled by pillars and a different, minor color fueled by the Mark.
It might - might - still be worth it to play...

Finding a specific card. For example a card that lets you draw 5 cards, pick one to put in your hand, and the rest go on the bottom of your deck.
Right now the only card that lets you "burn"...

I have Owl Eyes and I play Nova-Firefly. To be honest it's not that super powerful... it costs as much as a Firefly Queen to place, and it costs 2 Air to snipe a creature... taking up all the Air...

This card really makes me want to go back to the account where I won the Fahrenheit. ;)
-
And just because you can beat computer-played Nova decks doesn't mean the deck's actually better...
I've played Kethaq's deck 10x or so now and I beat it each time... and I'm sure K's a better...
-
I don't believe that ;)
Care to hint at what this super-deck's combo is?
The only potential weakness of Nova decks that I can see, is that creatures are often cast in groups. On your first turn...
-
My pov is until there are top 50 decks without Nova, then it's overpowered...
If Nova cost 1 Entropy, I think what would happen is everyone would change Marks to Entropy. This would slow down Nova...
-
Nearly all the top 50 are Nova decks by definition (30 cards, 6 Novas). Most of those are also partially multicolor to take advantage of spare quanta... even if most of them are based around one or...
-
Yep, I seem to be winning about 90-10 with this deck.
It's weird because some decks in the top 10 just fall to pieces vs any Nova deck... I think I could EASILY beat them with this deck in real...
-
@kethaq:
Your #11 deck seems interestingly similar to mine. As you can see I was able to defeat you. :) Although it would've been a lot closer if you had one or two more Novas.
