I am learning actionscript and I found a tutorial on how do smooth buttons work in as3. I have tried to migrate them to as3 but with no success.

I have a as2 to as3 migration issue. I get an error when using

_parent.prevFrame();


in as3. _parent function is no longer supported, so how can I make the same function work in as3.
