One tip. If you want windows in the plane you can use a texture for it. Just download an image of a boeing from the internet and cut out all the windows and save that as a texture...

I allways use Adobe Photoshop to blur the shadow.
Import your rendered image into Adobe Photoshop and use the blur tool to blur the shadows and your objects.
