* there is a long pause before the main loader
* inconsistent styles - maybe, remove all styles and colours except one
* use bitmap font
* use some kind of frame-thingy to frame/box the whole thing

personal opinon; if you cant make the buttons animate smoothly, then skip the growth on the "neighbour-buttons". Feels like reaching for OSX - but not getting there.

Web content is great (illustrations and such). I think you should take the concept further by doing everything with pen and paper, then scan it.
