Hi,
I want to create an animated banner using flash and put it in my homepage. But I want it to work as an usual banner: when the user clicks over it, there is a link that guides him to a specific URL. How can I do that. I thought I would use an action but this work just for singular objects (am I wrong? I am a newbie). I want the whole movie as a link not just a part of it. Please, someone help me!!!!!

Hiya
What you need to do is create a new button the same size as your banner and make it the same colour as your background.
Copy the image for the each state of the button.
Then make a new layer in your scence at the bottom, and in the first keyframe place your button you have just made.
Double click on the button and click the actions tab.
Choose OnMouseEvent
Choose On(Press)
Choose GetUrl
then type in the url you wish to load.
hope that helps! I am too a beginner, but have managed to work that out today!
