this site dosent fail to impress me each time i visit.
now i found the Matrix2 trailer in it, the best flash ive seen, ever.

http://www.fantasyinterfaces.com you need broadband although but when the site loads go to the experimental section, this loads the trailer but you can surf the site as i did while waiting.
When thast finished check out the other trailer also real cool.

respect to Matrix, awesome flash !

    doesnt make sense

Hehe, this definitely belongs in the experimental section cause, the Matrix 2 is due to be scheduled in fall 2002, not July 4th 2001 ... Also Morpheus wont be dead, hehe it would've been more credible when they got their information straight ... Nice intro none the less, think the music part is the best, love the ambience

P.S. B was right on the thingy from Blade, weird

Sorry to disagree with you all but I can't help thinking that the Matrix intro movie was not that fantastic, far from the best flash around.

True the fantasy interfaces site is incredible but the Matrix bit, well, frankly that dissapointed me.

Until broadband becomes widespread such a movie is not a practical use of flash, I am more impressed by a movie that has gone to every length to compress and stream, thus making it viewable by "the masses". Don't get me wrong, broadband rocks but if I am told that I can only view it with a good connection I expect better than that.

Very little of the movie was flash, much of it was simply using flash to scroll on pictures and a bit of video, not really using flash to its greatest potential. Yes the music streamed well and the bits of video were smooth but when you just put together a few clips and still with a bit of swished text effect, I tend to think, why bother?

I don't claim to be an expert and can't claim to be able to produce something better but lets be realistic, there is a lot better flash out there. In fact I think fantasy interfaces has gone down in m estimation after producing that. The site itself is slick and well produced,a little blky on the download perhaps but still worth visiting, the Matrix though just looked amateurish.

Don't be offended, i am not saying you are all dumb or something, just expressing my opinion and it is just that, an opinion.

    agreed...

Well, when I said it's a nice intro I guess I referred to the content of it, like the matrix ... I agree, it aint that supderduper intro... still like the music though..

    curious

Didn't I see this post a few days back? Am I having deja vu? I'd like to comment, but it's broadband only...strangely enough I thought flash was the opposite.
But maybe one day I'll be able to see cool sites also. I'm sure it's very nice.

Yes you are correct, this is deja vu because just like last time I can not get into the site, just hangs on the shinny metal part.

Yo I'm still confused. Is Firstpost associated with Fantasy Interfaces in any way? I think he works for them or something. Maybe their marketing guy.. All his posts are about Fantasy Interfaces stuff.

That may or may not be true, but a lot of poeple seem to have the suspicion. It's nice you do the marketing for them for free! What is your homepage?

ummmm, you call the matrix trailer nice flash? haha...more like nice quicktime. but, the ocean intro is nice flash, even though they stole the tunnel .fla from flashkit...oh well, nobody is original...but they do nice work.

That site's awsome, but it's not done in flash?? I'm sure it's not done alone using flash, but with other programs too. It's just pretty nice effect that they put together, especially the background effects...nice...

    so stupid

that's an avi or a quiktime movie not flash. That's like taking a movie you rented at the video store, importing it into your computer and then slapping it on your website.

Their nav screen, by the way, is a horribly done photoshop "add noise and blur" brushed aluminum effect that looks really sloppy. I know. I've made several myself, sadly. The background image is, if not licensed from chapter3.net, totally done in that style. Maybe the chapter3.net guy works for them. Honestly, why do you guys think this is cool. A hollywood movie trailer? Who cares. go to perfectstorm.com or lucasarts.com but quit marketing crappy sites on flashkit.
