Of course there were the boy toons at the time too, transformers, gobots, voltron, Ulysses31, Popeye (got to be one of my favorites as well), was Beverly Hills Teens a boy cartoon? hard to tell. provably not, I guess Im just a sucker for the girlie toons hahahaha. and I really am ashamed to admit it.
"Yikes. I'm really disturbed by this thread!"

At least that's what I would be saying, if I didn't remember watching all these same shows myself.

    Ooh, ooh ooh Gem!

My faves are the old Chuck Jones and Tex Avery cartoons for Warner Bros., as well as most anything by the Fleischer Studios (but especially Betty Boop and Superman). It's good to see some other people here are also into the old stuff.

Oh, definately! The old Superman cartons by Fleisher were brilliant! Anyone here into the old UPA style of 20th century painteing influenced animation?

For that matter, anyone here ever seen Gerald McBoingBoing?

    Bucky 'O Hare!

I loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - the comics were excellent, too (the old Eastman/Laird stuff).

It's like some sort of crazy 80's flashback!

    My fav non anime are
GI Joe (the old ones not the lame XTREME ones back with Duke lady J and Sgt Slaughter, Serpentor was hardcore)
Gummi Bears(I always wanted to drink some of that juice)
Care Bears (Braveheart Lion use to own)
Heathcliff (I didnt really like Heathcliff but the cat that lived in the transforming car "Rif Raf" was cool)
    SpiderMan

    Fav Animes are (Long list)
    Trigun (Hence the name)
Cowboy Bebop (Viscuous is the best bad guy in any serious period)
    Kenshin(Fear my Misturugi Ryu)
Berzerk (Best depiction of Medievil Times period Gatz makes Braveheart look like a punk)
Macross Plus Macross 7 (IMHO the best Anime movies ever)
    All Streetfighter movies and Series
Escaflowne is good but gets real mushy and lame at the end
    Fushugi Yugi
    Silent Mobius

    Old Skool
    The Big-O
    Speed Racer
    G-Force

I always thought the Chuck-Jones directed Tom & Jerry cartoons were the best - there was more of a give and take interaction between Tom and Jerry versus the earlier, Tom getting abused only ones.
